                                                    Lifelong Learning Summation Paper

H.L.O stands for Hoover Learner Outcome and for one of these descriptors I'll be talking about is Lifelong Learning and it's projects. Lifelong Learning is a way that students plan for the future and I will be talking about three projects of Lifelong Learning that summarizes this in paragraph form. The three projects I will be discussing in this summation paper which satisfy Lifelong Learning are the Cold War PowerPoint, Career Research Essay and my sports participation in Wrestling.
The first project I will be talking about is the Cold War PowerPoint in which I completed in 11th grade in my History class and it was a group project. The project is about the Cold War that lasted from 1946 through 1991. Steps I took to complete this project was finishing up this project using te PowerPoint program and looking up and researching stories from the Cold War. This satisfies the HLO because it uses technology that is relevant to the workplace and demonstrates understanding of common terms and that are associated with technology and demonstrates knowledge of and/or involvement in political process..
My second project that I will be talking about that satisfies the HLO Lifelong Learning is the Career Research essay. I did this project in 12th grade and I wrote an essay in what career that I think would be best for me. I also looked up research on my career over the internet. My career research essay satisfies the Hoover Learner Outcome Lifelong Learning because I planned for the future by researching a career of my choice. This project satisfies the HLO because it identifies and addresses personal priories through the development of education, career, and personal plans. This also satisfies the HLO because it demonstrates awareness and understanding of post high school options and career choices.
The last project that I would talk about that satisfies the HLO Lifelong Learning is not really a program but something that teaches about Lifelong Learning and that's my participation in Wrestling. I participated in Wrestling for over three years now since my sophomore year. This satisfies the HLO because it shows self-awareness of leisure choices and how the choices connect to lifelong learning plans and it also gives service to the school and outside community.
The Hoover Learner Outcome Lifelong Learning is important because it teaches the students about life. By focusing on this Hoover Learner Outcome at Hoover High School I have learned to work with others, learned about the importance of discipline and the significance of being prepared mentally.
