The moss grew around the red tiles in the more than two years under construction.
There was no doubt. It would be called Tejas Verdes.
It was founded in 1964 by the family Mayoral, the same who currently keeps on managing the restaurant.
That is why Tejas Verdes was awarded with the Touristic worth Prize in the past.
It is housed in a smart country-inn, built according to the traditional Castilian architecture.
Once you pass through the doorway, it seems you go back into the past.
Coming in Tejas Verdes is as if you went back to a 16th century ancient convent.
Each corner has its own charm and history. Each and every detail of both structure and furnishings try to recreate the atmosphere of five centuries ago.
The restaurant is located in a one-hectare property surrounded by wide gardens.
The trees grew up and nowadays, where there were wasteland there is a beautiful pine forest.
This makes this place unique in Madrid northern area, in the heart of San Sebastian de los Reyes municipality and 10 minutes from Plaza de Castilla on the Madrid-Burgos (A-1) highway.
