OCCULTA

CHAPTER 18
Simeon woke in the morning, and for the first time in a long while, he felt clear and resolved. He stood up and calmly dressed himself in the day's color, green. The clothes he had worn when he came had been disposed of for sanitary reasons.
Today he would walk to the Medical Building to make sure that no adverse side-effects persisted from his trip outside of the city. Certainly everything he had done over that time had been the result of some sickness. He could not believe the things he had suggested to The Executive or some of the things he had done to that village woman. Once he was cleared through the Medical Building, all of his bizarre actions would be explained by the illness, and he could then continue his pedological studies back at the Science Center.
He walked into the washroom and took a drink from the water fountain. Looking into the mirror, he straightened his collar as the golden eyed image stared back without expression. He turned, walked out of the room, and exited the building. Facing towards the Medical Building, he filed right into step with the people around him.
