Reviewed By: Reijin Synopsis: Follow a youth named Goku, through castles, adventures, dungeons and more! The story follows A young kid named Goku as he searches for the mysterious DragonBalls with a new friend, Bulma! As the continue to search for the DragonBalls, they meet new friends, new enemies, and a few citizens. As the series goes on, the story drifts off away from the DragonBalls and concentrates on a new threat. The Arch-Demon Piccolo! Goku and his friends try to prevent Arch-Demon Piccolo from conquering the world. Can they stop him? Review: So DragonBall does start out A LITTLE corny. Ok, ok, really corny. But past the stupid exterior is the birth of one of the greatest fighting anime of all time!! Most people just couldn't stand the beginning of DragonBall so not that many people who have seen the whole DragonBall series. I recommend watching the whole series. Plot: Plot? There's a plot? You gotta be kidding me!! Ok, well there is some plot, but, ....well it's such a crappy plot that it's hardly worth noticing. Maybe not that bad, but one thing DragonBall is not known for is a magnificent plots. Goku and Bulma look for DragonBalls and eventually Emperor Pilaf collects them all, amazingly... Oolong wishes for panties, woohoo!! They have a tournament, God splits himself in half and poof!! Creates a new enemy and they fight and that's all folks!! Character Designs: The outfits are the most mediocre I've seen in an anime. Nearly everyone wears an outfit somewhat similar to Goku's. But what sets them apart are their personalities. Goku, boy oh boy is he naive!! Bulma.....sheeeit!! a-n-n-o-y-i-n-g!! Oolongs just plain funny as hell, same goes for Yamcha and Puar. (Hey Oolong!! PIGGY-PIGGY-PIGGY!!!) Tien is boring...they should of made him more interesting. Piccolo will make for a great character in DragonBallZ. Music: Not really great, but not bad at the same time. Can't say much about it. Artwork: Everything is pretty much kiddy-like. Big wide-eyes, weak muscles, what's with this!?! Plot: C Character Designs: B Music: C+ Artwork: B- Overall: C+ |
