Valdez and the Chugach Range has become known for its big mountains and steep runs. Rest assured though that are plenty of long open powder runs for a more relaxed day. On this page I will highlight a fraction of the ski descents in Valdez Area. There is more terrian than I can ever possibly include here.
I have tried to be as accurate as I can with the names of the peaks and runs but very few are recorded and some have even been renamed with the influx of helicopter ski operators.
I will only cover runs that are accomplished on foot and generally can be done as a day trip.
