This is the closest thing to a ski lift in Valdez. Skiers are dropped off just before the "Gap" at the top of the pass and pick up at approximately 22 mile of the Richardson Highway. The run should be easily spotted especially on the weekend as it is the area with the most use in the winter. Don't let the crowds fool you, avalanche precautions are required.
The run has numerous variations and mostly consists of short pitches of moderate angles seperated by lower angle benches. Total vertical for a run is around 1500'. |
