| This webquest is organized around research, team collaboration and persuasive writing skills. It involves multiple disciplines such as writing, social studies and history. Students will use the internet and Lexis-Nexis to research their topics and find photographs. They will then write persuasive editorial articles on their First Amendment topics to create the classroom newspaper. Once the newspaper is completed, the students will read each other's work and then participate in a class debate arguing the issues they have examined. | ||||||||||||||||||||

They will also need to be introduced to Nexis-Lexis if they haven't been already, so that they will be able to use it efficiently.
