In your team of six reporters you will work together to research your topic and find appropriate photographs to complement your editorial articles.  The websites below will help you learn more about the First Amendment and Censorship.  Your main tool for this will be Lexis Nexis.

Each team of six reporters will contribute six editorial articles.  That means every reporter must write an article and find a photograph. Each team of six needs to provide three "for" articles and three "against" articles.  If your topic is book bans for example, three reporters must write "pro" articles arguing that book bans are necessary and useful.  The other three reporters must write "against" articles explaining why book bans violate the First Amendment.

Once you have completed and submitted your articles, your editor (teacher) will assemble and print your classroom newspaper.  After the completed newspaper has been distributed and read by everyone in the class, we will hold a classroom discussion arguing both sides of the topics which you have researched.
As reporters you primary tool will be Lexis-Nexis to search for articles and stories about your topic.
