Have you ever thought about the freedoms available to you? The first amendment provides five inalienable rights:
Freedom of religion
Freedom of speech
Freedom of the press
Freedom to assemble peaceably
Freedom to petition
Should these freedoms ever be suspended for our own safety?

Do these freedoms apply to everybody or are they situational?

Can these freedoms be abused?

As reporters, you will need to consider these questions. You will examine real life situations involving censorship and our freedoms. After you have done your research you will then write a persuasive editorial about what you think should be done in the real life situation you have been assigned.
