Rtn. Anton Tan agrees

to host Makati cluster

CP Don visited Rotarian Anton Tan last Saturday (July 30) in his office at Suite 608 Don Tim Building, 5438 South Super Highway, Bangkal, Makati. Rtn. Anton, who just arrived from a trip to mainland China, manages Inter Plant & Equipment Phils. Inc., a heavy equipment import and distribution company.

CP Don handed to Rtn. Anton some basic information materials that were sent by Rotary Int'l. to encourage membership development and growth. While discussing club matters, Rtn. Anton expressed the inconvenience of attending a physical Rotary meeting in Quezon City due to the demands of his business. He is one of those whose profile fitted well in the Proposed eClubONE3780.

In the said meeting, Rtn. Anton agreed to host the group of Charter Members who work near his area and offered the use of his board room so that they can meet at least once a month to develop acquaintance, learn more about Rotary and discuss how they can support club projects .

The Makati Cluster include Rotarians Anton, Romy Morelos, James Talam and Rommel Gonzales. They can be joined by Rtns. Lala Nocete and Zeny Dayao.

Measures to address our sudden shift from eClub to regular club

Dividing the original charter members into clusters is one of the measures taken to address the impact on the charter members themselves of the sudden shift from the proposed eClub into a regular club .

Other measures include requiring charters members only once a month attendance in the club's weekly meetings every Friday evening at the Rotary Center in Roces Ave., Quezon City.

Charter members are also encouraged to visit other eClubs in the internet, fulfill the mandated 30-minute visit, and request for make-up certificates. They may also attend meetings and make-up with other Rotary Clubs at their convenience.

CDG George tells us to conduct our club business in the internet

Centennial District Gov. George L. Howard, who gave us probationary status as Rotary eClubONE3780 continues to bat for the approval of our eClub.  He told CP Don during their meeting last July 28 to continue doing some of our club business in the internet using our website.

We continue operate partly on the internet so as not to destroy the original momentum of our club's growth. He also suggested that we agree on a schedule where we visit our websites together and chat about club matters.
