FLOWERS FROM THE HEART
About the Work:
Set of 20 unpublished poems that were anotated by the author into a notebook, which desappeared. By luck, the grandson Jorge da Cunha Pereira Filho had made a xerographic copy of this unique manuscript that then existed, in house of the daughter Isaura (Vianna) Cruz Continentino, after the death of whom, the manuscript was destroyed or lost. This is, therefore, the only register that exist of the poems left by the author, that in this manner is having her last will respected, who indicated clearly her intension of to save her verses for the posterity. Here they are!!!... We invite the readers to delight, traveling on the sentiments that the author so well expressed, about the life and the people that surround her in the family. About the Author:
Elisa Vianna Cruz, was a housewife and a "mineira" [of Minas Gerais, Brazil] family mother, who was also an entrepreneur, by sucession of her husband, born in the last quarter of the XIXth century and that lived her maturity in a great part of the XXth century, till the third quarter of this one. Born on the 29th/May/1885 and died on the14th/Jul/1965. She married with Theodomiro Cruz, on the 4th/Jan/1908, who besides being jewler and watchmaker, in Sabará, MG, Brazil, was a poet, and already had published his book of poems, VERAS, in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil, in 1905, to where he moved in 1812. With him Elisa learned the principles of Poetry. Little by little she has constructed her own repertory.
