FLOWERS FROM THE HEART

=====================================================================

The Rose and the Carnation -

Dedicated to Nancy.

I am of the flowers the queen!
I keep in my breast the perfume
Of the lightest and purest scent.
In a green chalice, elegant,
I sustain all my being...

And in resplendent feasting:
Of light, of flowers, of love...
In vases of fine dishware
Everybody wish to see me!...

Although peregrine flower,
I dispetaled myself in jealousies...
By seeing the white moth,
So sweet always to flutter,
In the afternoon, in the West sun,
To the carnation it begins to kiss...

And in such sweet idyll,
So pure as innocent,
It inebriated itself in perfume,
It flew for no more kissing...
