A Meeting in Thebia - Interruptions
Seker and Benedict were talking softly off to another side. And those that remained in the room were servants, who were patiently waiting for anyone to need something. There was a splash of magical energy in the middle of the room much like a Fey Gate, but it was not, almost a trump but again not. Only Theo would recognize the energies as being those of TechnoTrump -- but it was not from the Unreal City. Both Seker and Benedict reacted by drawing their weapons, Benedict a sword and Seker a wand. Standing revealed when the magicaly gate-light faded a moment later was Corwin of Sepulcher, who was holding the clearly unconscious body of Anhur. "Queen Merikara, I return your husband to you. My debt to you is paid in full. But Ceres is still out there, though now he is in the body of Harper. I recommend you use what time this disruption in his plans has caused to stop him. You will need it." Merikara shot out of her seat and was fretting over the servants with her husband in a second. Her eyes lifted to Corwin. "Thank you," she said tearfully. Even as Corwin spoke, he passed off the unconscious body to two servants who had made a mad dash to Corwin when he appeared. Then he disappeared in another flash of light. "Well I think that's our cue." Marcus commented to Theo. "Apparently, The Orb feels you know what we're looking for," Marcus said in a leading manner. "I think what it suggested is that I can try to shift shadow to the object of my desire, just by knowing what we want the spell to do," she corrected mildly. "Still, it's worth a shot, and if you can make those gateway things, it will save us a lot of walking." "Ah. My misunderstanding." Marcus replied with a bow. "After you." He smiled and gestured in no particular direction. Her Majesty was shouting orders, sending Anhur to the hospital wing under a guard that included Benedcit and sending people after Thoth to tend him. As they made their way out, she looked at Seker. "He is right. I will need you and Geb to come up with a quick plan. Sharon, if you will accompany Seker, I will rejoin you shortly. Seker, escort her to the chamber we used to work on the blades earlier." When Merikara shot out of her seat, Shannon instinctively ran after her. "Of course," the girl nodded. "Take as much time as you need." Then she allowed Seker to escort her to the workroom. Copyrights & Credits
