Meeting in Thebia

Its been some hours later and those that have rested have done so.

Sharon had gone back home when Merlin took his father back and then returned.

    Theo had rested.

Merikara checked and your sons were all right. Geb, Horus and Bast managed to remove the trump block with some difficulty. It would mean making new trumps or reseting them, but they would now work.

Merikara turned her Thebian trumps over for resetting, thanking her relatives profusely for their hard work...

Marcus spent some time with Seker after resting.

Everyone gathered in a meeting area, there were tables set to one side with finger foods and drinks.

In the absence of the Pharoah, Merikara sat in the seat usually reserved for Anhur, her face etched with worry and one hand toying with a heart of golden topaz around her neck.

Sharon took a seat at the left side of Merikara. The girl slowly sipped red wine from her cup.

Theo was standing by one of the tables, eating and drinking.

Marcus entered the room, dressed the same as earlier. His traveling companion the hawk, Oliver, crossed the room and landed on the perch.

Marcus bowed graciously before Queen Merikara. When he stood, he spoke. "Your majesty, I have information and a request. May I speak?" he asked.

Theo turned to watch, still chewing.

    "Please," Merikara nodded.

Theo moved a little to the side and took a seat.

Marcus wasted no time. "I have been informed that the rites performed here recently are sadly only temporary. However, I have been told there is a way to permanently stop Ceres' plans to summon the Nameless One." Marcus paused and glanced at each face to gauge their reactions thus far.

Merikara's face darkened and she sighed. "The three will have to be told that they will have to give themselves new True Names so they can no longer be summoned. It is what we did for Astril."

"Tell me, though, of these ways you speak of to stop the Summoning."

Marcus nods. "I have been told to search out the summoning spell. This spell is not in typical written form, but is possibly something quite tangible." He paused.

"This quest requires myself and at least one other with considerable skills in magic." Marcus added.

"I will be glad to assist," Merikara said after a moment. "But I must retrieve my husband first."

Theo cleared her throat. "Ceres wants to raise the Nameless? What is the Nameless?"

"It is the Dark," Merikara replied softly. "Everything that has been done to us recently? It is nothing compared."

Knowing little about Ceres' agenda, Shannon attentively listened to the talk, trying to memorize as much as she could.

Marcus nodded. "I appreciate your willingness, your Highness. However, I've been instructed to seek assistance from Theo or Sharon." He indicated each in turn with a slight nod of his head.

"I was told you are most needed here, your highness." Marcus added.

A slight frown marred her features briefly but she looked curiously at him. "And who told you this?"

"I can go." Sharon volunteered. "Though I have to warn you, I'm still learning and I can't guarantee that my magic will be strong enough to resist dangers which await you in your quest."

"I was going to say the same thing," Theo said. "So perhaps we should both go."

"A chance to exchange experience... That could be interesting." Sharon said with a soft smile. "What do you think about it?" the girl asked Marcus.

"Three sources." Marcus replied to Merikara's question first. "Seker confirmed the revalation from the Orb. And most reliably are those called The Three."

Marcus then nodded his approval to Theo and Sharon.

Merikara just gave Seker a thoughtful look and nodded. "Then if there is anything Thebia has to offer to make your task easier, do not hesitate to speak up."

Marcus nodded. "And that brings me to the request I mentioned. Britannia, my realm, has been affected by the Trump block as well. I was hoping to request assistance in restoring that power."

"Then you will need to speak with those here that broke it," Merikara said as she turned to a servant to summon those who broke Thebia's trump block.

Horus came in a few minutes later, bowed to Merikara then looked at Marcus and asked,"Who among those of your Reflection either does trumps or is like Queen Merikara a full initate of your Reflections Power?"

When Horus spoke, Marcus answered respectfully but with a smile. "That could be nearly anyone. But my Grandfather Dworkin would fit both descriptions best. If he were not reachable, next would be my Aunt Fiona or my mother Queen Evelynn Flamiel."

"Your Aunt Fiona is Bast's Reflection. Yes, she will do, can you contact her via the Orb? And if so, link me in with your contact link, and I will explain to her what must be done," Horus replied after a brief thought.

"I will attempt to contact her, I may have to use my father as a link, I'm not sure if she is sensitive towards The Orb." Marcus replied and with that, closed his eyes and began to concentrate.

Marcus was smiling when he opened his eyes and rejoined the group.

"My thanks to Horus and to you, your highness." Marcus inclined his head to Merikara.
