Gathering in Thebia

Merikara sees another ghostly silver trump-like object spin into the room, and standing there dressed in black plate/chain mixture is another Merlin. He looks a bit older and more mature than the other Merlin from Amber in the room. In his arms is the black and silver clad body of Corwin of Albion.

Geb says, "Interesting, I would have thought that you could not have Reflections in the same Reflection. But apparently, that is not true."

Fiona of Amber replies, "Thebia's Reflection is very powerful. Enough so that disruptions are likely being dealt with on a level we are not aware of."

Thoth says, "Please place him on that table," pointing to one of the empty tables next to the one with Corwin of Amber on it.

~Thank you. We will have your Corwin back soon,~ Merikara promises Alyson before turning from the contact.

"Geb, Benedict was here with Anhur and while I'm not sure he counts as a reflection anymore, Seker has been here for months."

She turns her attention to the others in the room. "Thank you all for coming, though I am sorry that it is these circumstances that have brought us together."

"When I told Geb of the enchanted daggers used to attack in Argent, we set up rituals to find them all and bring them here. We learned then that three of them were carrying bound souls and I set out to free them. I brought them here and as Geb unwove the magic on the others, we were attacked. Not just those of us working, but they also attacked my children. Seker and Benedict defended Geb and I while Anhur fought for the boys. Ceres, the one responsible, was furious. He is dead but his ka is powerful and, more importantly, free. He drove my husband's ka from his body and bound it to a jewel that we believe he wears. Ceres has taken up possession of Anhur's body. He escaped through a mirror; a mirror that has never been Anything but a mirror."

She pauses a moment to get her emotions under control now that they threatened to break over the dam she currently was holding them behind. "Returning these three to their rightful bodies is the right thing to do or I would not have undertaken it. I knew it was dangerous, as did all of us, but I count Corwin of Argent as a friend and by extension so are his reflections until such a time as I find one not worthy to hold that trust."

She lets her eyes take in all their guests one by one. "We can and will do this. But after it is done, I need your help to regain my husband and, if not destroy, then severely weaken Ceres. This is not a course of action we of Thebia take lightly. The continuation of one's Ka after death is sacred to us and the destruction of one is not something we do easily. But Ceres is intent on the destruction of all that stands as good now and we see no other choice."

Alongside Merlin of Albion, the redhead teenage girl materializes. She wears a pair of black breeches, an olive blouse and a black sturdy jacket. On her feet she has a pair of dark bronze leather boots. A black sheath with a small and slender blade in it is fastened to her belt. Despite her young age, she is already very similar to Alyson in both face and body. However, she has black eyes like her dad.

The girl's eyebrows raise a bit when she ses the other Merlin, yet she doesn't say anything. Standing next to her father, she listens to the talk in silence.

From the shadows steps a black haired Fey clad in black, he has drapped over his shoulder the black armor clad body of another Corwin. Standing next to him, is, for those that know her, Theo.

More than a few people blink at his arrive, and Benedict tenses then relaxes when he sees Theo standing next to him.

Mandor looks hard at Jasor and says,"Now that explains a few things about you, that I had wondered about." Fiona looks at her husband and cocks an eyebrow up curiously.

Thoth points over at the only empty table, "Place his body there please."

Jasor nods to Thoth and with some care lays Corwin of Sepulcher (Ghost City) on the table.

Theo stood still for a moment, taking in everyone that was there, and the things that she had heard Merikara say. Her face looked stricken. "I'm so sorry," she said to the Queen. "But I should - I should -"

Merikara steps over to Theo and wraps her arm around her. "We will take care of him, my Sister," she promises fiercely. "Tell me what need."

Theo squeezed Merikara a little tighter and then let her go. "No, I mean, I'm sorry for you... for your loss. This - isn't my father, although I admit I am worried about him, seeing these... Corwins... like this."

Theo finds herself smiling. "Hi, Sharon. Thank you... My name is Theo. I think... I met your mother, briefly. Or someone who looks a lot like you, anyway."

"That had to be Mom." Sharon nods with a soft smile "I'm very similar to her."

"It was she," the Queen of Thebia clarifies. "I spoke to her right before Sharon came through." She turns to Sharon. "Your mother is a wonderful lady. Is she alright?"

"Yes, she is." the girl replies. "Though, it was close, they almost poisoned her."

To all those gathered in Thebia with Merikara (which is all of you), a shimmering gate of silverish energy appears nearby Merikara and out of it Marcus of Brittainia steps. But he has changed, the least of which is he if Fey.

Benedict again tensed then relaxed when Merikara appeared to not be concerned. He then turned to Fiona and murmured softly to here. She nods.

Seker (mostly Fey in appearance) who was standing nearby Merikara, looks at Marcus and says,"A Champion of the Orb. And you made the Choice."

The first thing likely to be noticed would be his traveling companion. On Marcus' shoulder sits a beautiful red tailed hawk.

Marcus is a bit on the shorter side for the Fey, he is only five foot, nine inches tall. His hair is still the almost white-blonde as before, but now it is long and straight and the sides are pulled back and braided into the back length.

His eyes are a soft green, but as they glance over those assembled, it's clear that not much gets past those eyes.

Marcus is dressed in a knee length tunic made of a natural linnen. The tunic is cinched at his waist with a plain brown leather belt. His pants appear to be a slightly loose fitting linnen as well, but in a dark brown. He has on high suede boots. Over all of this is his cloak of grey, which appears to be a heavier material than the rest of his clothing, possibly wool.

And on the opposite shoulder as the hawk is a small leather traveling bag.

Marcus first bows respectfully to Queen Merikara, he then nods to each one in the room ending with the one who addressed him.

    "Aye." he acknowledges simply.

The hawk on Marcus's shoulder takes to the air as Marcus starts to bow and flies over to a nearby unlit lamp stand.

Merikara steps back from Theo and gives Marcus a smile, as well as one for his hawk. She bows her head to the bird and then explains to Marcus. "The hawk is a sacred creature in Thebia. It symbolizes Ra, the father of all. As the unicorn was to Amber, so Ra is to Thebia."

Marcus smiles and nods in understanding.

Theo nods to Marcus, then looks around at the full room, and finally back to Merikara, since she is only person here Theo knows well. "Tell me what to do," Theo says, an edge of terror in her voice, "and I'll do it."

"Don't be afraid," Merikara soothes. "This is the easier part."

She gestures to her relatives. "Geb and one other volunteer to start. Since we have experience with this we shall lead the rituals. We will also need strong mages at the feet of each, someone they know if possible. Theo, you will take a place beside your Corwin. Merlin of Argent, I will stand at the head of your father."

"He's not my..." Theo starts to argue again, but then shakes her head. "Sure, I can be the bridge for the guy." She moves to stand next to the Corwin that Jasor brought in.

Marcus steps back to the wall, clearly not wanting to be in the way.

"With my psionic abilities I can act as spirtual/mental bridge between the bodies and souls." Sharon volunteers.

Merikara gestures her towards Corwin of Albion and she moves over beside Theo. "Is this not the Corwin I saw you with when I called you before?" she asks curiously. "If you do not know him, this is not necessary to put yourself through."

Sharon takes place at the head of her grandfather.

"No, it isn't my father," Theo says, "but I'll do it anyway. I want to do something."

Merikara takes her own place and looks back at Theo. "Don't worry, my sister. I was hoping you would assist what we must do afterwards. If your weapons will work anywhere, I think Ceres needs to be reminded of what they can do."

"What they can do," Theo says dismissively. "With what we did before, he should be dead. How can he not be dead?"

"Physically, he is," Merikara replies carefully. "But his Ka-his soul- continues. This is why he has taken possession of Anhur, to again have a body. But he is a thief and he will not keep that which he has stolen," she adds firmly. "He will learn that the Children of Ra the All Father are not to be tampered with."

Seker says to Marcus,"Put up an Orb shield around this working, it would be an ideal time to attack us. Benedict can you and Horus and maybe Anubis go to our children and guard them. I would not put it past Ceres to try again.

Benedict nods. Horus nods. Anubis just checks his weapons and nods.

Anum nods, "I will be working with Bast to undo the block on trumps here in Thebia."

Geb looks at Merikara,"Are you ready?"

Marcus nods and begins to concentrate. First to get a quick idea of the layout beyond this room, then he concentrates on The Orb, calling for the strongest shield it can provide.

"Then we'll have to put him in a body we don't mind shooting up if my guns are going to help," Theo says. "Let's do this thing."

Merlin from Amber chuckles coldly at that comment,"Magic is a wonderful thing, I can change your guns amno to fire rounds that can kill the soul and not harm the body."

Merikara pauses in her steps and looks at Merlin. "Indeed? That may be easiest. Amazing."

She heads to her place and looks then to her father. "Should Ceres show himself, he will be in Anhur's form. Incapacitate and hold him if at all possible."

Anubis gives Merikara a fatherly smile then follows Benedict out of the room towards where the children are bedded down.

Her arms rises gracefully over head. "We begin," she intones, waiting for the next step from Geb.

Geb merges in his half of the ritual spell with Merikara and for quite some time they weave the intricate pattern of the spell together. For each of those acting either as anchors (feet), bridges or providing life energy and a sense of family (head) -- the pull on your personnel energies is great. For the bridges, as the soul passes through them, there is an odd kind of joining between your soul and the soul of that Corwin. Each different yet very similiar.

For Marcus who was providing the Orb barrier to prevent anything related to Ceres (attacking) to either, it was a hard battle indeed for no sooner then Geb and Merikara start when attacks struck the shield, some magical others spiritual all of them terrible. At some point during the spell, Marcus felt Oliver come over and land on his shoulder, and when his taloned feet touched him, Marcus could feel the presence of what could only be Ra for he had an image of a man with firely wings and a hawk head. By the time the spell was over, it was all Marcus could do to remain standing.

Corwin (of Albion) replies still softly,"I have been known for being hard to kill."

At that his son, Merlin (of Albion), chuckles,"One of these days, I expect to see cockroaches bowing to you."

That comment brings a weak but warm chuckle from Corwin.

"Do you want to sit or do you prefer to lie down?" Sharon asks her grandfather.

Merikara speaks up then, leaning on a golden snake topped staff. "Food is being laid out in the formal dinning area as we speak. For those we are too drained to contemplate feeding yourself yet, Thoth will want to rest in the healer's suite." She turns to a guard hovering at the door. "Benedict, Seker and my father are in the children's suite. Please let them know we are done here."

Theo was breathing hard, leaning against the bedframe. "Rest... does not sound like a bad idea," she said.

Giving Theo a tired smile, Merikara gestures towards a twisted rope of gold on one wall and the distant sound of a gong can be heard, followed shortly by the sound of bare feet on marble scurrying down the hall towards them. "Healers will show all those needing rest the way. Including the three rejoined."

As the Healers and assistants enter, Merikara turns to them. "They need rest more than anything. I also want a guard around the wing at all times our guests are there." The Queen herself is tired as is obvious by the way she leans on her staff. But with Anhur gone, she has to hold it together.

Marcus will allow himself to be guided to a place for rest.

Its a bit of a shuffle but everyone either eats then rests or rests depending on how wiped out they are.

The guard came back from the children room and reported that everything was ok.

The only Corwin that appeared to be even remotely functional before a few words was Corwin of Seplucher. He actually managed to get up and have several very long conversations with Seker and Benedict before giving Merikara a bow and gating away. His final comment had been, "Thank you and I will do what I can."

Oliver, Marcus's hawk after being checked by Thoth was pronounced out just needed to rest.

Theo rests for a few hours, but despite her exhaustion she is very restless. She uses her T-padd to try to contact her father as soon as she feels up to it.

Its not long, Theo has her father's constitution which helps her recover faster then most.

~Theo, where are you? You feel far away.~, Templar replies. She gets an impression of him sitting at his desk somewhere in a dimly lit room, there is hot coffee steaming near at hand, and he just exhaled the smoke of one of his cigs.

~I'm in Thebia, Merikara's reflection. Are you all right? Apparently Ceres is not as dead as we'd hoped - he took over Merikara's husband's body and is using it to target reflections of Corwin.~, Theo replies.

~That would explain why I have 4 dead assasins. They didn't expect I would be armed as I am. Your mother is a bit teed though, made a mess of the penthouse. Please be careful, one of them managed to answer a few of my questions before he died. Something about a key shadow and a new world wheel and someone called Feral. Sorry, I couldn't get anything else from him.~, Templar replies with a warm but dark smile.

~Thank you, Dad.~ Theo took a deep breath. ~I'll be careful if you will.~

Templar smiles and gives her a warm mental hug,~Always. By the way, your mother sends her love.~
