Brampton mill actual offers a variety of water to fish from the mill stream to the House all located close together. There is also the weir pool and the mill pool the weir pool is reputed to hold some good pike although we have never had much luck here although we do keep returning to give it a try. The weir pool varies in depth from very shallow to quit deep in places there is also some under water snags to watch out for. The mill stream is a narrow water about 6 to 8 feet deep and can flow quit fast at times it tends to produce mainly jack pike.

The Ouse is quite deep along this section and has been known to produce so good pike it also contains zander and is rumored to hold a few wells although our occasional night excursions only produced a high number of eels. Parking is not a problem here as the mill house seems not to mind anglers using it car park which is next to the waters. Another advantage here is that if the fishing is bad then you can always go for a pint instead.
