| CHAPTER 1 "Mommy! Mommy! Wake up!" A voice said as Jenna opened her eyes. She was staring face-to-face with her daughter. "Katie, mommy needs her sleep," Jenna moaned as she rolled out of bed. "Mommy it's my birthday!" Katie said jumping up and down. "What whose birthday?" Jenna asked feigning innocence. "My Birthday!" Katie said not recognizing that Jenna was playing with her. "Oh it's your birthday," Jenna said as she picked Katie up into a hug and gave her a kiss, "happy birthday sweetheart." Katie ran out of the room so Jenna seceded to get dressed and then followed her. As she walked down the stairs a delicious smell filled her nose. "Do I smell pancakes?" She asked as she walked into the kitchen. "Daddy made pancakes for my birthday," Katie said. "Morning babe," JC said as Jenna walked behind him. He turned around and kissed her then turned back to the pancakes. Jenna sat down at the table. She couldn't believe that it had been two years since she had given birth to Katie. Jenna looked at JC and smiled. She never imagined when she stepped on that bus over two years ago that her life would turn out this way. JC and she had been dating since she decided to go with them. She went on tour while she was pregnant and a few months after they got back, JC had invited her to stay with him in Orlando and she did, then she had Katlin Rose Whitley. She loved JC and Katie with all her heart. However as good as her life was she lived with a ghost over her head. No one knew that Katie was Justin's and every time Jenna was going to tell someone she'd start to feel sick and chicken out. She felt so bad every time Justin was in the room and Katie would call JC daddy. She had tried to discourage Katie from calling JC it but Katie continued anyway. "Mommy!" Katie said snapping Jenna out of the daze she was in. "What, sweetheart?" Jenna replied turning toward Katie. "I get a party today, right?" Katie asked. "Yes but first you have to eat your breakfast," Jc said. Then turning toward Jenna he said, "Are you still feeling sick?" "Not really but I don't think I should put anything on my stomach this morning," Jenna replied. Jenna looked at the pancakes JC had set down at the table and felt sick again. This had been going on for a week. She would feel fine then just the sight of food would make her sick. A few hours later Katie's party was over, everyone had come and gone. Audrey and Derek took Katie with them. Audrey had said that she just wanted to spend time with Katie but Jenna knew something was up because Audrey never volunteered to baby-sit. However, JC was acting really weird and after everyone left he told her to go up stairs. When Jenna walked into the room she noticed a box on the bed and a card. She opened the card. It said, 'Put on what's in the box then be ready and outside in half an hour. Love, JC.' Jenna looked at the clock it was four-thirty and she had to be ready by five. She opened the box to find a beautiful dark red dress and some smaller boxes which when she opened found a necklace and earrings which she knew were way too expensive. Jenna walked outside at five till five. The dress fit her perfectly which surprised her until she realized that JC probably had some help from Audrey. She waited outside for five minutes and at five o'clock a black limo pulled into the driveway. The driver got out and opened the door for her. She expected to see JC inside the limo but when she got in all she found was a note, 'The driver knows where he's going. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.' After a half hour the limo stopped. Jenna looked out to find they had stopped in front of Ocean Breeze. She smiled as she thought about their first date. Jenna walked in to find and the hostess escorted her to the VIP room in the back. When Jenna walked in the lights were dimmed and all she see was a table with two candles in it. "You look amazing," A voice behind her said. She turned around to find JC standing in the doorway. "Thanks but I didn't even pick out the dress," Jenna said smiling. "Do you want to sit then we can have dinner?" JC said. He held out her chair for her. Then the waiter brought out Champaign and salads. "You really didn't have to do this?" Jenna said looking at all the stuff. "I want to. I love you," JC said. "I love you too," Jenna replied. After dinner which was made up of their regulars, music started and JC asked Jenna to start dancing. The danced for what seemed like forever. Then dessert was brought out. It was a in the shape of a heart then sitting on top was another note. Jenna looked at JC who nodded to open it. As she picked up the note she noticed it was a little heavy. She opened it to find that there was a ring inside. "I have loved you from that first moment in the elevator. I will love you forever," JC said as he was staring into Jenna's eyes then he got down on one knee and asked, "Will you marry me?" "Yes," Jenna said crying softly. JC picked her up into a hug and then they kissed. It seemed as if everything was perfect. Chapter 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 BACK |
