Load's successor, Reload was released in the US on
November, 18 1997. Some of the songs on the album were meant to be on the Load album, but
the band ran out of time and disc space. The Poor Touring Me live show resumed in
Australia in March of 1998 and continued into North America in late June through mid
September. One of the songs on the album, The Memory Remains, which is also
released as a single and music video, features Marianne Faithfull as guest vocalist. The
band made an appearance on Saturday Night Live and jammed Fuel and The Memory Remains.
