About
'Master Of Puppets', 1986
Elektra
Arguably Metallica's
best album, Master of Puppets was released in the US on 21 february, 1986. It climbed into
the top 30 of the billboard charts. For this album, they went on tour with Ozzy
Osbourne. James broke his wrist in a skateboarding accident in Adamsville. The show was
cancelled, and during the rest of the tour James sang with his arm in a sling and John
Marshall stood in on guitar. John Marshall was at that time Kirks guitar roadie, and
has been a member of the band Metal Church which supported Metallica on the Damage Inc.
tour in '86. Sadly, it was the last album with
Cliff Burton. Read the Metallica history for details.

My opinion:
In my opinion Master Of Puppets is the best album Metallica ever made.
Almost every track on the album is loaded with awesome fast riffs and good lyrics but it
doesn't lack melody anywhere. The songs are very creative and different. The titletrack Master
Of Puppets is one of the best songs on the album, followed by Battery and Welcome
Home. The beginning of Disposable Heroes is very impressive. Damage,
Inc. is a killer song because of its speed, lyrics and awesome solo. Leper
Messiah also has a very good solo and Orion is a true experience. If you
don't have this album, buy it now!
