Known Powers: Kismet has the ability to draw on others karmatic energy and focus it into beams of energy that she can send from her body in several different forms, also known to create a protective shield around her. She must be in control during fights for if she lets her temper get out of control, beams that admit from her do so at full power from her eyes and hands. If her powers are released at full power for a long enough period she will die. Kismet has control over her temper and powers to a precise degree. Her powers manifested during a gym class at the boarding school that she attended. Their manifestation has had no known change on her physical appearance. History: Kai spent most of her life in the Yukon except for the time she spent at school; an event she called horrific. She was taught that her beliefs were wrong and was oppressed because of her failure to abandon her faith. When her spirit finally broke she became drawn back and shied away from other children. Then one day during a gym class, Kai was suffering from a stomachache but was made to participate anyway. She was thrown the basketball but when she reached to get it beams of golden energy was released from her hands and eyes. It was at such a great intensity that she past out. When she awoke she was in her bed on her families reserve. She was at her home. She later found out that the nuns that ran the school kicked her out of the school because she had the devil in her. For the next year her powers did not return and she again grew brave and regained her faith in the native myths and spirit gods. When she again felt her powers she knew that she was different and she feared that she would harm her family, friends and fellow tribesmen. She decided that for their lives she would leave. On her travels south she came across a man hidden within the shadows who seemed to know everything about her, even through she never remembered meeting him before. He convinced her to come with him to his home where her would teach her control over her mutant abilities. She was skeptical but agreed to accompany him. A day after she arrived at his home she was introduced to James, another new arrival. Sampson then spent years teaching her the control that she needed. And once she gained it, he gave her the choice of leaving of staying on as second in command of the Guardians, a team of mutants whose goal was to fight evil and help other mutants control.
