Hair: metallic gray. Known Powers: Genesis has the mutant ability to create shields and swords and other small firearms out of his arms. As well, Genesis has a heightened mental capacity and is considered a genus by human standards, also having an understanding of computers, that gives him an advantage at times. It is not really known how Genesis' powers manifested but it is believed to have happened during a lab gone wrong during his advanced placement biochemistry class. His powers have had only minor effects on his physical appearance; his unusual eyes are the only things that give it away. The cross hairs allow him better aim while firing a self-generated weapon as well as minimal magnification abilities. Genesis has complete control over his abilities and he believes that they have reached their full potential. History: Simon was born to an Ontario hooker and thus does not know his father. He had a rough time growing up. He was denied a formal education until he was 10. Even then he finished well before many of other children of the same age. He finished high school with a 99 average and was given a complete scholarship to any school of his choice. He obtained master degrees in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine, Microphysics, Calculus, Biochemistry and Philosophy and is well versed in the latest technology. It is believed that during a Biochemistry lab Simon was placed in a dangerous situation when his powers manifested. He was able to hide his mutation from his fellow students with contacts and no one thought anything was array when Simon's computer abilities and his intellect drastically increased. He finished his education by the age of twenty-four when he took a position with the governments Microphysics department. He worked there for a number of years before his mutation was discovered when his contact fell out. He fled in fear of being subjugated to the same tests that he witnessed being done to other mutants in the governments classified M-E Wing. He was on the run for only a few months when Cell and Kismet approached him and asked him join their team. Simon graciously agreed. Although since the addition of recent members Simon has stayed from the field he has proven an asset to the team and well capable of defending himself in a fight. Being the first recruit (besides Kismet and Cell) Simon took on the code name Genesis. Almost nine months after joining the team Sampson asked Simon to pose as a shrink to Hope Freedman a potential Guardian team member. It was because of his help that Hope (Serenity) joined the team. |
