Battle of the Energy Elementals

Morning at the manor. Amy and Mike had both fallen asleep upstairs in his bedroom, while tthe others slept in the den. Christina sits in the kitchen, alone, thinking. She held a cup of coffee in her hand. SLowly, she lifts it, bringing the steaming liquid to her lips. She carefully sips the coffee so that she wouldn't burn herself. She hears a little noise coming from outside and gets up to check it out. She approaches the fron t door and notices that the knob is slowly rotating back and forth, as if someone was trying to get in. "Who's there?" she asks. But no answer came. "Hello? I said who's there?" Still no answer. She crouched, taking a fighting position and readied to defend herself. The door slowly opened and to her relief, Vinny sticks his head through the opening.

"Hi," Vinny greets her. "What are you doing up? It's a little early for you to be up isn't it?"

"Yea, I guess. I couldn't sleep. You know when someone asks 'who's there ' you should really answer or you could get hurt. You scared the crap out of me."

"Oh really? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that. I didn't hear anything," he explains.

"Where have you been all night?" she asks crossing her arms around her chest suspecting something.

"Just out. I needed to be alone, so I took a walk. You know, think to myself a bit."

"Yea, I guess I know what you mean," she says. "Hey," she says after a slight pause, "if you ever want to talk, I'm here for you. Anything you want to talk about."

"Sure, thanks a lot."

A loud yawn, came from behind Christina, and out of the den walked Tom. "Hey guys, good morning," he says. "How was your little walk last night, Vin?"

"Oh, it was a lot of fun. It was killer."

"What exactly did you do?" Tom asks.

"I just went for a walk," he replies.

"Looked more like patrolling, or hunting really." Vinny's face made an expression of guilt. "I knew it, you went out hunting for them didn't you?"

"You did what?!" Christina yelled. "You know you could have gotten yourself killed! I mean, I know how bad you feel about losing Paolo, but we all feel that way. You shouldn't go out hunting and looking for trouble. That's just a sure way to get yourself killed!"

"Don't worry about me. I could take care of myself. There's one less bad guy we have to worry about now," Vinny claims.

Tom's face lights up in amazement, "What?! Which one?"

"It wasn't a mage, I didn't encounter them. ALthough I wish I did," he explains. "It was that Vampire-Witch, Mary."

"Wow, nice. She's finally gone!" Christina says. "But still, next time, you do not leave alone, You got me?"

"Yes Mother," he mocked. "It was a total rush. I had my daggers, stakes, and one of Paolo's spells..." He explained and told of his little encounter.

Upstairs, Mike and Amy awaken from their slumber. Amy's arm is around Mike and she holds him tightly. "Good morning," she whispers as she kisses his cheek. "How do you feel?"

Mike lay silent for a while, then turned to face her and kissed her. "Thank you for staying by me. I'm sorry if I troubled you in any way. But, yea, I feel a bit better."

"That's good. But you do know that I wasn't the only one here with you, right? I mean, Vinny, Christina, and the others were always here checking on you. THey really care about you," Amy explains. "You have some great friends, they would do anything for you."

"We," he interrupted, "we have great friends. They're yours too. You're part of the group now, though, it might have put you in danger," he said.

"Don't worry about me. I can take care of myself."

Mage's Lair. Skye and Ivy return and send word to Silver and the other mages that Mary has been vanquished. "It was the Psy-Mystic," Ivy explained. "Somehow, he defeated her single-handedly. He had no help from the others."

"So, the Mystics' powers are still growing. We must put an end to them before they develop any more of their powers," Silver commanded.

"But what can we do?" Freeze wonders. "They are getting more powerful rather quickly."

Pyro and Shock then enter the lair from the back, along with Kate. "Maybe I can help," Kate says. She is now dressed in a black robe with a red rope tied about her waist. She wore jewelry around her neck and wrists as well as rings that bore rubies. An athame of gold hung at her side and glittered with the flame of the torches.

"What is that doing here?! You brought her to our Lair?! Are you trying to get us all killed?" Drake yells.

"No, she is on our side now. She can help us. She knew the mystics, more than we ever could," Pyro explains. "She knows even their weaknesses."

"Good job Pyro and Shock. Now, our numbers are growing and so will our magicks. The Mystics have lost two of their most powerful members, and we gain one," Silver says followed by a maniacal laugh. "Picking them off one by one. Soon it will be all over for those wretched children."

"You know you'll never be able to defeat them," a voice spoke from the other end of the hall with an Irish accent. It sounded very weak and in great pain.

"No one was speaking to you," Shock says in disgust. "You're nothing now. I enjoy seeing you degenerates wither away in your chains." He then lets out a bolt of electricity towards the voice. The light illuminates the three captive vampires. The bolt electricutes Arthur and he screams in pain. THe mages did nothing but laugh. Even kate found it amusing.

"Now. let us see which one is vulnerable at the moment," Silver says glancing into her dark orb. "Hmm," she thinks to herself. "Not the Power Mystic. He remains in the manor, where we cannot enter." She waves her hand over the orb again, "Not the Feral Mystic, She too is at the manor. Wait!" she says. "The Energy Mystic is at Eternity, without the others. Maybe we can lure him out, then we can take him from there."

"Let me take him," Aqua says. She steps up with her hand above her breast. Her dark skin began to glitter with the flickering of the torches and candles. But her eyes were as blue as the ocean.

"No, Let me," Shock argues, also stepping up. "Why would you let the Water Mage go up against the Energy Mystic? That just seems all wrong. I am energy, I should face him!"

"Why don't you both go," Silver suggests. "Remember what happened to Mary? If he too has powers that evolve, then you will need each other's help."

"Fine," they both said sighing.

Club Eternity. Tom is dancing with a woman he just met at the bar. She was a thin girl, with long blonde hair, reaching down to her Collar bones. Her black skirt and white shirt intrigued Tom the moment he saw her. They were dancing really close to each other, his hands on her waist and her arms over his shoulders.

Suddenly, he felt someone else's hands grasping his waist. He slowly turned to see who it was dancing as he did so. He saw before him a dark skinned girl, with long black hair, and a blue, tight-fitting dress. He soon found himself dancing with both girls simultaneously. After two songs had passed, they all went back to the bar to get another drink. Tom Sat in between the two women and bought them both drinks. "So, What's your name?" he asks the girl in blue.

"My name is Kendra," she replies. "And you are?"

"Tom. This is my friend Jeanine," he said introducing them.

She looked at him and chose to ignore Jeanine. "Yes. I think I've seen you around before. I just can't put my finger on it though," she says putting her hand on his thigh. Tom's eyes widen in excitement. She leans closer to him and whispers in his ear, "Let's get out of here, show me around okay? I'll meet you outside."

Tom nods his head in acknowledgement. She gets up and leaves and he still takes some time to process what had just happened. He turns to Jeanine and smiles. "Hey, I have to go. It was nice meeting you though. I guess, I'll see you around."

"It was nice meeting you too," she says giving him a nug and slipping a piece of paper into his hand. "Call me."

He looks at the paper in his hand, "Definitely." He walks away smiling towards the exit. He leaves the club and notices that the alley is empty. No one was around, not even Kendra. So he walked up the alley to the end of the building. As he got to the corner, he saw a shadow and he became paranoid. He put his right arm behind his back and conjured a knife. He kept it hidden behind him as he reached the corner. Suddenly, someone grabbed him and pulled him to the side, kissing him. He noticed that it was Kendra so he unconjured the knife with a puff of yellow smoke.

"So where are we off to first? Do you drive?" she asks him.

"Anywhere you want to go. My car is over there," he points to his corvette. "Wherever you want to go, whatever you want to do, it's up to you," he says.

"Well, it's a nice night. Why don't we go out for a little walk on the beach," she suggests.

"Sure, It's not too far from here, about a fifteen minute drive," he explained. They both get into the car and drive away. During the drive, Tom found that Kendra's hand had again found its way to his thigh. She rubbed it gently and then let go to open her window and light a cigarette. When they finally got there, Kendra threw out her cigarette and got out of the car. She took of her shoes and walked towards the beach.

Tom runs to follow her and puts his arm around her. "So, where are you from? I don't think I've seen you around here before."

"I just moved here," Kendra says. She gazes into his eyes and something flowed through them into Tom's. Something like a dark wave came from them and filled his mind. Suddenly, all he could think of was holding her, kissing her, and making love to her. "Kiss me," she commands him.

He does so, holding her by the waist. They both drop to the sand holding each other. Out of nowhere, a bright white light came down from the sky like a lightning bolt. Where the bolt struck, appeared a figure. A short, pale figure holding a metal wand that bore a light blue orb. He points it at Tom and releases a bolt of electricity.

He panics and yells, "No! Watch out!" as he pushes Kendra out of the way. She falls backwards into the sand and he rises to his feet to retalliate.

"What's going on here?" she asks in confusion. "What just happened?"

"I'll explain later. Just stay behind me and lay low." With that, he charged at Shock with powerful fists. He struck blow after blow, but Shock managed to block them all. He then threw a punch of his own that stunned him a bit as he fell to the ground. Tom shook it off, and slowly got back to his feet.

Shock then flew towards him at full speed. Tom held out his hand and threw a ball of energy at him. The energy ball exploded when it made contact with Shock and it threw him back about 10 yards away. He then conjured up a rope and tried to tie him up. BUt, when he walked up to Shock, he didn't realize he was faking his unconsciousness and threw up another shocking blow, sending Tom a few feet into the air.

Kendra lay on the ground just watching as this all happened, and she gave a look of amazement and excitement. "Tom!" she cried out, "are you ok?"

He struggled to get back on his feet and he replied wearily, "Yea, I'll be fine. Just stay put." He then created two more Energy Balls and launched them at him once again. One hit the ground before him sending up a wave of sand, the other hit him on the head temporarily paralyzing him on the ground where he lay, covered in sand.

Tom ran to Kendra and picked her up. "Let's go," he says, "I don't know how long he'll be knocked out. Let's get out of here before he does."

"Wait," she says pulling him back. "What just happened? You have to tell me, that was amazing!"

"Come on, I'll explain it to you on the way back, we just have to leave before he gets up!" he says out of breath.

"I need you to tell me now!" she orders him with a deeper, more intimidating voice. Tom then turned to her and saw that her eyes were glowing a dark blue hue. The waves started to crash heavily on the shore and the ocean seemed to be angry. "What, no kiss now?"

He froze in his tracks and the tide seemed to climb its way to his feet. It bound him to the ground and would not let him move his legs. "What are you doing? Who are you?"

"You haven't guessed it for yourself yet? Ocean, waters, emotions...Sweety, I'm the water mage!" she reveals. She then lifted her arms to the air and a great wave grew behind her. She dropped her hands in Tom's direction as if to direct the wave right towards him.

"Oh no," he said muttered. "This can't be good!" The wave then crashed right above him sending him to the ground on his back. "I still can't move!" he panicked. He felt paralyzed and weak. The tide grew ever higher and it engulfed his body.

"Try all you want. You cannot resist my magicks. You are in stasis. You cannot move or use your powers. And pretty soon, the tide will get high enough and you will drown. And that I have to stay and see." She let out a dispicable laugh and she taunted him as she watched the water flow to his neck and eventually over his mouth. He tried desperately to breathe and to get the air just above the water.

Just then, he began to hear noises as if a fight were taking place. He heard someone fall to the ground and he saw many movements, but he could not tell what was going on. As the wave retreated a little, his eyes were uncovered and he saw Christina fighting with Kendra.

Christina's claws were already showing and she was moving too quickly for Tom to keep up. "You can't save him, he's already dying." Kendra claimed. Christina glanced behind her and saw that Tom was not moving and the water had once again engulfed his entire body.

She jumped high and with both legs kicked Kendra right in the belly. She gasped for air as she fell to her knees. Christina ran to Tom's aid and she tried desperately to pull him out of the water. He wasn't breathing so she tried to give him CPR. After a few seconds or so, he began to cough and spit out water. "Nice to have you back. Ouch, you have a few cuts and bruises. Here, let me heal them." She held her palms over his wounds and a white light began to emanate from them, healing the wounds. "There."

"Thanks, I thought I was a goner there for a second. Now, let's get back to business." He got up and saw that Shock was showing signs that he too was getting back into action. So he ran to him again with a dagger in hand.

Shock then throws a bolt of energy at Tom's hand, knocking the dagger out of it. Tom then throws an energy ball at Shock in retalliation, but he counters it with one of his own creating an expolsion and sending out a shockwave that throws them all off balance.

Tom started to breathe heavily, his use of his powers is making him weak. He has used them too much. "M-m-y body can't take this...Feel weak...tired," he muttered.

"TOM!" Christina yelled out. She sent one more punch at Aqua and sent her to the ground face first. She ran to his aid and healed him as much as she could before Shock threw an energy ball at her.

Tom rose to his feet and created another dagger and ran at Shock in rage. Even before Tom got close enough, Shock spoke, "Maybe some other time Mystic," and he disappeared back into the sky in the form of lighting.

About the same time, Christina got up and started attacking Kendra, kicking her chest and stomach as she crawled on the ground. "Is that what you Mystics do? Kick a lady when she's down?"

"Well, you're not exactly a lady," Christina comments.

Kendra spit in her face and as she sent another kick to her midsection, her body dispersed into water and all her kick did was throw water into the air.

"I guess that's the end of that," Christina rejoices at the victory.

"Yea," he replied. "Hey, how did you know I was in trouble? Did you become psychic all of a sudden?"

"No, dumbass. Check your phone."

He searched his pockets and they were empty. He looked around him and saw his phone on the ground before him where Shock once knelt. "Somehow, during your battle with Shock, your phone hit speed dial on my number and I heard you fighting, I also heard the water in the background. So i figured you were at the beach and that you would have needed my help."

"Well, thank you for that. And for saving my life and all."

"Eh, it was no sweat. Just keep that favor for another time," she warned him followed by a little laugh. "Ah, you owe me. I love it!"
