JOHN HAYLE
It is not known when JOHN HAYLE came to Alabama. The 1820 Clarke County, Georgia, Census records list John and his son Wiley. Both entered the 1820 and 1821 Land Lottery. John entered in Richmond County twice, and drew Lot 166, Section 14, in Henry County, and also Lot 65, Section 2, in Houston County. Wiley entered in Clarke County and drew Lot 170, Section 8, in Appling County. The 1830 Monroe County Alabama Census Records list John Hayle, and show 5 children at home. One son under 5 years, one between 5 and 10 years, and one between 20 and 30 years. There were two daughters. One between 5 and 10 years, and one between 10 and 15 years. WILEY HAYLE is also listed with 5 children at home, but none above the age of 20 years. JESSE HAYLE was born in 1807, giving him the age of 23 years in 1830. The 1850 Federal Census for Alabama list Mary, age 65, at the household of John L. Lambert and wife Susan. Listed with Mary is John, age 21. Mary and John could have been visiting at that time, because they are listed again under a different number. There is no known last name for John's first wife, Christian, or second wife, Mary. Mary was still living in 1860. John died between 1840 and 1849.
Following are the descendants of six children of John Hayle.
