15 October:Man, I've been sooo terrible updating this thing. I'll just have to put it on hold completely until I have time to update it. I'm thinking round about January or so. I'm in Alexandria, Egypt, having THE TIME of my life. I'm having so much fun, seriously. I can't beleive I was even thinking of passing this up! It's the second day of Ramadan, and people are starting to get grumpy during the day. Also, I'm 21 as of about a month ago. The 21 year-old me is so much cooler than the 20-year-old me. It just occurred to me that I've had this website for two years now. Cool.

23 August: Lots has happened in the last month or so. I didn't pass the FSE, so I'm going to redouble my efforts and try again for next year. I leave for Egypt in exactly a week. It hardly seems real. I feel extremely calm, actually, when I should be shaking in my boots. I'm confident that I"ll have a wonderful time and I'll be extremely safe. I got myself an MP3 player and I spend a lot of spare time putting music and audiobooks on it. It's the 30 gig model Nomad. I tried naming it, but none of the names have really stuck, so it's just "My Nomad." I'm something of a nomad myself, so I feel that is appropriate enough. Again, I am so excited about going to Alexandria. I can hardly beleive the time is here at last! Also, I have discovered Sting. I just LOVE Sting. The Audiobooks of Brian Jacques' work is fantastic, also. The author himself is the narrator but they have a full cast to do the dialogue. Having those other voices really makes a difference.

17 July: News Bytes: I think perhaps the only people who visit my website are my Mum and a few ex-boyfriends. I saw Spiderman 2: GREAT movie. I wish I could date Spiderman. There were a lot of symbolic dealies in there that I just LOVE. I should be getting the results from my Foreign Service Exam any day now. Soon, I hope. I beat Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos. I'm now on the Blood Elf campaign for Frozen Throne.

In other news, next month marks the five-year anniversary of my discovery of the Arabic language, and as such I will be completely overhauling my Arabic page. Wahoo!
