Today's Message - Hope for the New Year
As the year comes to a close and we spend time with loved ones during the
holiday, may our hearts be full of love and hope for an enriching new year. I
will be leaving for Cancun Christmas Day for some well deserved and needed R
& R. See you next year!!! Happy Holidays and make it a great one. Marilyn
Quotes worth repeating:
*"Never forget the magical power you possess. The real power within.
The power to have whatever you really want."
Like going to Cancun when so many others think they can't.
My best wishes go with you Marilyn. Tony DeLiso

Life
"Life is brief and very fragile
And only loaned to us for a while.
Follow your heart
Wherever it takes you
And be Happy.
Wake up every morning
With the thought
That something wonderful
Is about to happen.

Four Candles author unknown
Four Candles burned slowly. Their ambiance was
so soft you could hear them speak.
The first candle said, "I am Peace, but these days, nobody wants to keep
me lit."
Then Peace's flame slowly diminishes and goes out completely.
The second candle says, "I am Faith, but these days, I am no longer
indispensable."
Then Faith's flame slowly diminishes and goes out completely.
Sadly, the third candle spoke, "I am Love and I haven't the strength to
stay lit any longer."
"People put me aside and don't understand my importance.
They even forget to love those who are nearest to them."
And waiting no longer, Love goes out completely.
Suddenly a child enters the room and sees the three candles no longer
burning.
The child begins to cry, "Why are you not burning?
You are supposed to stay lit until the end."
Then the Fourth Candle spoke gently to the little child
"Don't be afraid, for I Am Hope,
and while I still burn, we can re-light the other candles."
With Shining eyes the child took the Candle of Hope and lit the other three
candles.
Never let the Flame of Hope go out of your life.
With Hope, no matter how bad things look and are,
Peace, Faith and Love can Shine Brightly in our lives.
Don't let these candles go out in your life!
If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel,
march down there and turn it on yourself.

Soaring to new heights.
While surfing the net one day, I came across a link that
took me to
Emerging Courageous Online Magazine
After visiting for a while I wrote to tell Marilyn
What a wonderful place she had created
For those of us who have risen above challenges in our lives
It wasn't long before Marilyn asked me to share
Some of my writings and poems there.
What makes a Survivor?
I believe it is anyone who strives to overcome
Not only emotional but physical hardships
After all you only have two choices
The first is to give up and the second is to fight!
But with the help of good friends
And a strong desire to be a better me each day
I have struggled through many hills and valleys
I think I have even mastered a few mountains.
You can ride a wagon of "Woe is Me"
Or you can get up everyday and simply live life
It was the best piece of advice anyone had ever given me!
And reading the successes of many others
I know that I am not alone in how things have made me feel
And I know I am not alone in my desire to be a better me
So everyday I get up and look for challenges
Whether it be on my computer or in dealing with my own chronic pain
Everyday I find ways to help someone else
Nothing makes my heart happier and my soul soar even higher.
