Lola Albright played Dolly Fletcher in Kid Galahad.
After modeling and working for a radio station in Akron
Ohio, Lola Albright moved to Hollywood during the mid-1940s.
Considered as one of the most stylish, sultry, and beautiful
actresses in Hollywood, she starred with Kirk Douglas
in the 1949 hit movie Champion. From 1958 to 1961, she
played nightclub singer Edie Hart in the popular TV
series, Peter Gunn. She also made TV guest appearances
on Alfred Hitchcock, Columbo, Man from U.N.C.L.E., and
Airwolf. She also played Constance McKenzie in the TV
series Peyton Place after Dorothy Malone became ill
and could no longer play the role. Ms. Albright is crtically
known for her starring performances in A Cold Wind in
August Joy House, and How I Spent My Summer Vacation
(made for television).
Married second husband, pianist William Chadney, at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas.
Her popularity as sultry, dusky-voiced night club singer Edie Hart on TV's "Peter Gunn" series inspired two record albums, "Lola Wants You" and Dreamsville."
Inherited her singing talents from her parents, both evangelistic singers; started in films as an MGM singing extra, in "The Pirate", "Easter Parade" and "The Unfinished Dance".
