Trivia

Elvis as Mike Windgren in Fun In AcapulcoDirector Richard Thorpe also directed one of Evis' previous films Jailhouse Rock in 1957.

Elvis was to go on location to Mexico for this his first movie of 1963, but due to the riot caused in cinemas when G.I Blues was screened there, he found himself an undesirable alien. A double was used for the location work and Elvis completed the movie on the Paramount lot in Hollywood.

The original title for the film was "Holiday In Acapulco".
