Esther (or Easter or Hester) Eggs baptised her baseborn son Charles Townsend 17040229. Hester Higgs was buried 17231016. The Bastardy claim is the only one in the package P328a OV 5/1 before 1765, is dated 15 January 1703 and is made by Hester Higgs of Tetbury against Charles Townsend of ffairford

Charles Townsend 17040229 - 17481221 son of Esther Egg aged 55, was buried with the addition 'alias Higgs' and of 11 years to his age. He married Martha Jones 17270108, who was buried 17270508.
His second wife Martha was buried 17410716.
As Higgs he married 17420726 to Elizabeth Kimberley 1705 - 17700803, widow aged 65 years.
