In the churchyard, north side Edward Herbert Senr, died Febr 7, 1775 in the 82 year of his age. Ann, his Relict, died March 7, 1775 in the 83 year of her age. Margaret their daughter died Feb 16, 1723 aged 1 Elizabeth their daughter died Oct 3 1745 aged 28 Mary, wife of Edward Herbert junr, died Oct 22, 1766 aged 48 years. Edward Herbert Junr died May 6 1799 aged 38 years

Edward Herbert the Younger was named by Mary Stogden as father of her child born 6 Apr 1772, and he was bonded to pay 1/- a week plus 20/- for her laying-in expenses, she was bonded to pay 6 pence a week or support the child. Payments of 4 pounds 17 shillings are recorded, to 23 Sep 1773 The Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor records, Reference P328a OV 5/4 dated 15 Jun 1772

Philip Herbert was in Tetbury 9 Jul 1720, as recorded in a book on the Tetbury Race of that date.
The comment is 'has no constant settlement, but oftimes lives with John Cotton', of Tetbury, and appears to be connected with Robert Cotton of Cheshire who sent a horse to Tetbury for the event. It did not run.
