Susannah Archard was from Essington and broke her leg in Tetbury where she was then lodged for 7 weeks then 6 Porters carried her back to her home parish. The Overseers sent the Estington Churchwardens accounts For Horsehire to the Justices about Archard's affair 2s., and Horsehire for Mr Paul and Mr Badnedge to meet ye Justices at Mr Davis's on Hampton Common 2s. 6d. Expences at Ye Bear there 2s., Horsehire to Esquire Masters at Cirencester and thence to Essington and Expences with Samuel Randall about Archard's affair, 4s. Oct 1735 paid Haywood for Dyet Beer and Lodging for 6 Porters that carryed away S.A. 9s, carrying her to Essington �1.4s. Mr Badnedge Horsehire and expences with them 2s.6d. Paid Daniel Masters for bringing the bedding and couch which S.A. was carried in, 1s. Paid expences at Gloucester Sessions about Archard's affair �1.14s.0d
