John Dickason served as Apprentice to William Belcher of Runwick, reference P328a OV 4/1 dated 6-Jun 1695
P 328a OV 3/3/3 contained a document with no date, which I copied, because it amused me - saying John Dickason was a bad lad.
6 June 1695 John Dickason, son of Mary Dickason, late of Tetbury, deceased, of his own mind, and with our consent, went as Apprentice to William Belcher of Runwick to learn broadweaving for 9 years.
In 1698 he being found begging in Tetbury was there whipped, then given a Pass back to Runwick.
On 4 May 1719 Grace Dickason and her 2 small children were found wandering in Gloucester St Philips (her husband was in gaol) and were returned to Tetbury because John falsely claimed Settlement rights there.
So Tetbury, using the Settlement provisions, sent her to Runwick.
