Ann Kary, daughter of Giles Kary, a poor child of the Parish of Tetbury was given an Apprenticeship when the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor signed an Apprenticeship agreement with Stephen Power of Woodchester in Gloucestershire, Shear Grinder, reference P328a OV 4/2 dated 8-Oct 1728.

Anne Kerry named John Grant, labourer, as father of her child and he agreed to pay the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor 1/- a week plus 20/- to cover her laying-in expenses. Anne was to pay 6 pence a week unless she kept the child. Reference P328a OV 5/4 dated 11 Nov 1771
