John Baker 17021003 - 17581009 and Mary 17061217, were baptised at Kings Stanley, son and daughter of Richard.

John Baker worked as a Carrier between Bristol and Tetbury. He appears to have had four wives, as he baptised George 17230718 and Daniel 17270530.
He married 17270828 to Anne Thomas and baptised John 17280821, Grace buried 17300923, William 17310226, James 17321113 and Anne 17340531. Anne and her baby were buried a week later. The census shows John has two servants, who may be his elder sons, and two surviving children.
John buried his wife Sarah 17380218 and his widow Hester was buried 17610305.

On 5 Oct 1782 John Baily, Tetbury's Overseer, delivered the daughter Mary to Sherston, Wiltshire (where she was born) and the rest of the family to Kingscote.
