Underneath lie the remains of John Bamford and of Elizabeth his wife.
She died Decr 14, 1775 aged 70.
He died Sept 18, 1778 aged 76
Josiah, son of John and Elizabeth Bamford died 30 Mar 1760 aged 32
Mary, their daughter died 1 May 1750 aged 20
On a Brass Plate in the South Cloister,
Robert and Dorothea Bamford buried four children born from 1828 to 1833.

Elizabeth Bamford 1731- 17640820 aged 33, possibly John's daughter, married 17540608 to John Pike the plaisterer and baptised John 17550417, Sarah 17570307 - 17590109 lived 22 months, Hester 17590315, William 1761 and Mary 17630516 - 17691204 lived 6 years.

John Bamford, was an Overseer 1761, named in Martha Moon's case.

To my daughter Hester Thompson my furniture, and when she die pay to her daughter Betty Plummer 145 pounds plus the furniture
To my son Matthew Paul Bamford a like sum of 145 pounds
To my grandsons and daughter John Pike, William Pike and Hester Pike 20 ponds apiece
I give the residue equally to sons William, John, Matthew Paul Bamford and Hester Thompson and appoint them joint executors


John Junior is called Bamford when he buried children, and Barnfield when he baptised them.

Matthew Paul Bamford baptised his son Samuel Ball 17660525. His age at death on 17900320 of 40 years looks low - an age of 60 would make him a son of John and fit in with the other family inscriptions.

Nanny Bamford, daughter, is mentioned in the Will of Richard Bartholomew als Smith signed 16 Jul 1777

Rebecca Bamfoord, Widow, buried 17270703, is a Tetbury girl, and married John here. On 29 Sept 1721 she filed an Intestate Agreement, as the Aunt of Hester Seale

Thomas Bamford of Tetbury was named as father by Sarah Savage of London, who had twins, the boy lived, reference P328a OV 5/2 dated 12-Apr 1776

Thomas Bamford, Mary his wife and two infant children were found wandering and begging. Thomas under Oath stated he was born in Tetbury and aged about 58. About 3 years ago he married Mary and their children are Samuel Paul aged 22 months and George aged 9 weeks. He believed he had legal settlement in Tetbury. Reference P328a OV 3/5/1 dated 4 May 1801 is the complaint by St Swithin, City of Worcester, to Tetbury.
