Meeting about Replacing the Church held 22 June 1729
Influential citizens held a meeting to consider what to do about the state of the old church attended by John Barrett, Henry Crowther, Daniel Evans, Richard Harding, John Johnson, Thomas Keen, John Phillips, John Purnell, Francis Savage, John Sloper, William Tomkinson, Barnard Wickes, Joseph Wickes, John Wight, Henry Wightwick
The matter went to Parliament who suggested repairs and on 10 Feb 1740 charged Thomas Estcourt, Richard Harding, Joseph Ralph, Charles Savage and William Savage with overseeing the work.
After spending money doing doubtful repairs, the Old Church was demolished and rebuilt to be opened in 1770

Comment - Henry ended up in a court case trying to get about 10 years of unpaid wages, at 30 pounds a year, out of the Trustees, who had mismanaged the town money and were not able to meet their obligation to him. He in turn had to find another job that paid to support his family. He was accused of having private means, and not treating the school properly.

Mr Henry Whitwick baptised his daughter Anne 17320818.
Henry Wightwick died 23 Nov 1763. He is recorded as a Clerk, and as the master of the school with 4 servants and 27 lodgers. He was appointed Schoolmaster of Tetbury Grammar School 1721 and arrived in Tetbury with his wife Elizabeth and one child. He baptised Mary 17241017, George 17260603, Walter 17271012, Rebecca 17300118 died, Henrietta 17341110, Henry Ransom 17370618, Rebecca 17380914 and Margaret 17410313. The first Rebecca's burial is not recorded at Tetbury.

Widow Mary Wightwick for some reason chose make her Will and have it Proved in Tetbury. Perhaps her husband was brother to Henry Wightwick. The emphasis on the Collier beneficiaries suggests they are relatives on her side of the family
