There are many different
techniques when it comes to stretching. There are 2 different types of flexibility
exercise's that can be done, Static Stretching and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular
Facilitation. Static Stretching is done by placing the muscle in a maximally
lengthened position and holding it there for a sustained interval (10 - 30
seconds). Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation is a technique using combinations
of alternating contractions and relaxations of agonist and antagonistic muscles.
