Dylan arrives in town, unpacks her belongings in her new apartment, and heads to the school to enroll and meet her new Watcher, who also happens to be one of the school's guidance counselors. She and Jax discuss a few things while Dylan fills out the enrollment-paperwork, and then they head off to Jax's apartment to get a bit of training in. Meanwhile -- through the ingenuity of Sol -- she, Vi, Sean, and Seth skip out on school altogether, and head off to an ice cream shop to discuss what they should do on their self proclaimed 'day off'. Sol leads the other three to "The Basement" - a local demon hang-out that's super-secret, complete with passwords to open hidden doors. After learning through the grapevine that there's a new Slayer in town, the four head off to Vi's to perform a location spell to learn of the Slayer's whereabouts (on the way they meet and take along Andy). Vi and Sol go off to keep an eye on the location of the Slayer - namely because Sol's having flashes of Misguided-Noah's desire to off the Slayer and protect his Vamp friends. Noah rings the buzzer of Jax's apartment, interrupting their training session, and Sol scares him off with a surprising new ability: Shockage! But this leaves Sol and Vi at the entrance to Jax's apartment building with a rung buzzer. While they're waiting for someone to answer that rung-buzzer, Sean, Seth and Andy show up with Pizza, Wings and Soda - none of which seems to interest the girls too much. Banter ensues and Sean soon finds himself thrown out of his own car and standing near Vi who's still waiting at the building's entrance for someone to answer the buzzer. Sol and Andy blow off a bit of steam while waiting by getting into an all-too-real playfight; which sends Andy into awakening his demonic form. Sol takes Andy off to her place so he can glamour back to normal. While Andy's resting after a tiring transformation, Sol comes back to where she left the others, and then she and Seth go back after awhile to her place again to check on Andy. It's while there that Sol learns from a mysterious caller of her father's murder by person or persons unknown. Looking to keep the girl safe, Seth takes Sol (and Andy too) back to his own apartment, which has a conglomeration of ward spells on it that'll keep their demonic presences unknown to any that might be searching for demons inside the building. That evening, Dylan goes out for patrol in one of Boston's graveyards, where she briefly meets John. While in the graveyard, Jax shows up and gives Dylan a present (a necklace with a cross pendant) and the two continue Patrol. Back at Seth's apartment, the three invite Sean over to see if he wants to join them in watching horror movies while drinking, and soon Sean, Andy and Seth head out on a take-out run stop to pick up Vi whose looking to escape from her house after learning the real reason why her parentals got divorced. While Sean comforts Vi in the privacy of his Beetle car - Sol, Seth and Andy, upstairs in the apartment, decide that going out to try and find the Slayer now would be easier since it's night. All they'd have to do is look in a graveyard. So off the three go, in Sol's car, to try and track down the Slayer -- stopping long enough to see if Sean and Vi would like to join them as well. After a brief argument between Sol and Sean, off she and Seth go to the graveyard, determined to find the Slayer. Andy - who had been trying out his new wings during the previous argument between Sol and Sean, finds a naked young woman out in the streets of Boston, and swoops down to rescue her. The three talk a bit with this new arrival and learn that her name is Artemis, and that she is THE Artemis - the Goddess. When the jeep was parked, Sol, Artemis, Seth, and Andy head into the cemetery to meet the Slayer. Sean got out of the beetle car and sat himself in Sol's jeep, waiting for them to come out, and to snack on - of all things - Chapstick! Sol briefly talks with Dylan, while Seth, Andy, Artemis, and John - who had returned to the cemetery - listened in. John also dispensed with a vampire during Sol and Dylan's conversation. Then hellhounds seemingly come out of nowhere on a mission to retrieve Artemis. After a brief fight, the hellhounds are dispensed with. Sol and Seth leave the cemetery - Seth taking off with Sol by flight; Dylan and Jax call and end to their Patrol for the evening, and Andy and Artemis build a funeral pyre for the Hounds, so that Artemis could get an idea of who had sent them and why. After a bit, Vi - who had fallen asleep in Sean's car wakes - and Sean takes her home. Sol accidently shocks the hell out of Seth, ending their flight a bit on the early side. Shaken up by this, Sol heads off to retrieve her Jeep, and Seth heads off to his apartment to get cleaned up after having made a crash landing in a huge pile of trash. Artemis and Andy discover the place where the Hounds were sent from, but apparently it was abandoned and empty. So they think. It's actually still booby-traped, and Andy is rewarded with a crossbow bolt sticking out of his chest. Artemis rushes him off to Seth's apartment were she later heals him. And shortly after this, Seth, Sol, Andy and Artemis settle down to try and get some sleep.
Artemis, who hadn't slept well during the night, wakes Sol early to talk to her about the strange feelings that have been making the Goddess feel ill. Turns out the Goddess is becomeing a little too human for her own comfort-zone. After waking Seth, Sol and Artemis get into an arguement and run out of the apartment to take their argument to the streets. Seth wakes Andy and then - after following Andy home to make sure he had gotten there okay - Seth heads off to school. Meanwhile, Sol and Artemis' arguement turns into an all out demonic-girl-cat-fight-ordeal; and along comes Anthony to first infect Sol with his 'woman-hater-touch' and then kidnaps Artemis! Dylan, on her way to school, finds and unconscious Sol and wakes her. Sol quickly explains the situation to the Slayer, and while Dylan heads off to the school to round everybody up, Sol heads back to Seth's apartment to get cleaned up and to equip herself for the task of finding Artemis. Soon everyones getting ready to go rescue the kidnapped Goddess, but Anthony has another surprise in store. Namely, a demon army that charges the would-be rescuers. Turns out the members of the Army are all of a foot high, and are soon dispensed with. But no sooner had they gotten one crisis dealt with, then another is soon to hit... literally. Sol had touched Seth, and therefore infected him with Anthony's 'woman-hater' touch. Seth goes completely ballistic and starts wailing on Sol. Though a well-timed attack of Andy's and Sol both, the group manages to render the deamon unconsious. But just as they're about to get their wits about them, Seth wake up, throws a huge fireball into oncoming traffic and takes off. Lucky for the group, one of the cars in the ensuing fender-bender that happened after the Seth's Fireball-attack, was the lemo with Anthony and Artemis inside. Andy retrieves the Goddess and takes off with her. But now that leaves the rest of the group in a quandry. They now have to find where Andy took the Goddess, and need to find Seth before he can do any more damage. Dylan and Sol head off to find the wayward Andy - despite the vision Sol had of her and the Slayer both getting their butts kicked by the half-demon; while leaving the finding of Seth to Sean and Jax. Dylan and Sol meet up with Andy, who surprisingly didn't attack Artemis despite having been touched by not only Artemis who'd been infected with 'the bad touch' but getting a dose of the same stuff from Anthony himself! But just because he's not attacking Artemis doesn't mean the touch hasn't worked, as Dylan and Sol will soon find out, since Andy has attacked them! Meanwhile, Seth comes back to his right-mind again, after making a grand mess of things in the park, his apartment, and after having gotten himself a tattoo! Cleaning up his apartment first, he thinks over the course of the day, and realizing what he'd done - though certainly not understanding why he'd attacked Sol in the first place - heads out to find the others, and to find out if Sol is okay. And Jordan - after much prompting from the pesky Moltar - strikes a deal with Rowan, who is hunting down the Slayer. These and the following pages were created by Katt V. for BuffyAnnieSummers.
