Traditional.Traditional Fast Food in Spain means Tapas! A tapa is simply
a small portion of any traditional Spanish dish. When most American's think of "Spanish
Food," they probably think of the dishes served by our Spanish speaking neighbors. Many who
come to Spain are surprised to discover that Spanish food is nothing like that of Central
American countries. Spanish cousine is Mediterranean and very similar to Italian and Greek
food. A walk through any Spanish city, big or small, will bring the hungry traveler to
numerous sidewalk cafe's and bar restaurantes where any number of tapas may be ordered.
Here are just a few: Spanish ham, garlic shrimp, diced salads, paella, fried ham or
cheese sticks, meatballs, and fried squid. As I said, this is a small list and there is
always something for everyone.
