- Site moved to GeoCities. Recent changes for 1997 added. Dates for 1996 changes confirmed. Interregional Road System designations added.

- Updated the route listings based on recent changes to the state highway codes. For the Freeway and Expressway System, Routes 157, 171, 252, & 256 were removed and Routes 241 & 261 were added, and Route 133 was modified. For the route descripitions, see the Changes page. Updated the description of Route 185 (a reader reports that it is signed along its route). The Highway Web Sites page has also been revised.
- August 5, 1996
- Moved the site to its new URL at "http://www.engr.ucdavis.edu/~mnbagley/cahwys/". My friend Michael Bagley has generously offered to host the site since I will be leaving UC Davis. Added scanned images of the California State Highways Map of 1994, published by Caltrans. Modified the description of Route 73 based on observations from Grant Cooper. Updated the web sites list.

- Revised the descriptions of Routes 87, 110, and 237 based on observations from James Lin.
- July 16, 1996
- Revised the header and link pictures of California highway signs. The new graphics are courtesy of James Lin and his State Highway Markers web site.

- Rearranged the route description pages and added links to individual routes. Added web statistics pages. Modified the header picture on the main page by removing "California" and the bar from the US-101 sign. Also, based on a trip to the north coast, highway signs have been added to the descriptions of Routes 200, 254, and 271.
- May 14, 1996
- Added two new pages. What's New is this list of new features and updates. Recent Changes to the Streets and Highways Code lists the changes to the Code from 1992 to 1996.
- May 13, 1996
- Modified the California U. S. Highways in 1963 page. A description for ALT US-66, a short highway from Pasadena to Los Angeles, was added.
