Three's Company; Motyka Sets New Championship Record

David Lanham has two. Tim Rumpff has one. Adam Browne and Vadim Shenderey have none. Ryan Motyka set himself apart from the rest of the DWL after winning his record third Joe's Cup.

In a series that went to an overtime in game three, Ryan/Mark escaped with a hard fought win to cap the 2008 season as the league's best team. Mark Henderson continued his impressive playoffs by averaging 4.3 ppg and 4.7 rpg and proved to be the difference maker.

Motyka's victory in the title game over Tim Rumpff is the second in as many years. Rumpff entered the series averaging 11 ppg but managed only 9.7 ppg during the series.

(Ryan and Mark hold up the Joe's Cup representing the last team standing.)

Player to Watch: Anthony McClees and Mark Henderson DWL Playoff Leaders

Antohny PPG: 1.6 RPG: 4.4, Mark PPG 3.6 RPG 3.6

When Tim/Anthony beat Ryan/Mark 13-10 in the regular season, Tim had one of his best games with 12 pts while Motyka only had six points. Its much more likely that in a three game series Ryan and Tim will cancel each other out and it will come down to which two man produces. Mark has upped his game in the postseason but Anthony has played great defense against Ryan O and Ryan F. It will be a fun matchup to see him against a quicker 2man in Mark.
