Welcome!!!

Just A Few Sights

This is the homepage of Don and Judie Neill. These are a few of the pictures we've taken since we bought our first digital camera. We hope you enjoy what you see. The following links will take you to the new additions to our page. Most photos are in the folders on our photo page: photos.yahoo.com/donjudie. Last update: 1 January 2004. I've added maps showing where we've been in our trailer and a few photos from our travels in France.

We lived in the Netherlands from August 1998 to June 2000 so have lots of pictures of this country and the town in which we lived. These are just a few.

Judie and I have visited France many times and want to return many more. Here are just a few pictures from our visits. A few photos from France.

The area of Germany around the Mosel river is a favorite place. We have visited there again and again and will certainly return in the future.

We were in England for a short time and I found a sign that really tickled me. Hope you like it too.

We were excited about coming back to the US. We found a house we liked in Florida and took these Florida house pictures to remind us what it looked like. One of these days I'll take some of how it looks now. Let's just say it looks a little more "lived in"!

Before leaving Europe, we were luck enough to attend a birthday party for a friend. This is Elga's party!

We are looking forward to traveling around the US and Canada before long. This will take some time so rather than staying in hotels and motels we bought a travel trailer that we can tow behind our truck. Our first couple of trips were close to home but in January 2001 we went to California to see Judie's brother retire from the Navy after 27 years of active service. For those who don't know him, Skip went from being an enlisted man to a Naval Acadamy graduate and a Commander; a real accomplishment. You can see pictures of the ceremony in the folder entitled SkipsRetirement on our photo page: photos.yahoo.com/donjudie. We also got to see Rex & Zelia and wander around San Diego a bit. One of these days I'll post a few more pictures from our trip of over 6,700 miles. On our way back we wandered around the Southwest a bit. We went to Organ Pipe National Monument, Big Bend National Park, the Gila Cliff Dwellings, and Lake Havasu among other sites. It was a great trip but near the end we were getting ready to be home. A few photos from this part of the trip are in the folder entitled Western Trip on our photo page: photos.yahoo.com/donjudie. And here is the map: Map of Southwest Trip

In May 2001 we got on the road again; this time for a trip through part of the American MidWest. Don was born in Iowa so we started for Iowa but stopped in northern Missouri and visited a cousin and his wife, Chuck and Terri Claassen. We continued on to Iowa and visited one of my mother's cousins, a lady by the name of Gwen Hein. After visiting Gwen, we went west to Nebraska where my mother's only surviving sister lived. We had a great visit with my Aunt Margaret and another cousin, Lloyd and Doreen Claassen. We continued west to visit the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, the Crazy Horse Monument and other sights in South Dakota. This was as far west as we were able to travel on this trip. We dropped back into Nebraska so we could visit yet another cousin, Earl and Eileen Seastone, in Southern Nebraska. From that visit we pretty much came directly home. We did stop in Branson, Mo. but since we don't care that much about country music, it wasn't a high point of the trip. Map of Midwestern Trip Photos from the trip are in the folder entitled Midwest 2001 Trip on our photo page: photos.yahoo.com/donjudie.

In September 2001 we took a short trip up to Virginia to visit Judie's Uncle Bill. He is a favorite since when he was in the Navy he would send his little niece postcards from around the world. After a great visit, we drove over to the Atlantic beaches and drove down the coast. This trip was our first with our new dog, Sammie. Photos from the trip are in the folder entitled Southeast 2001 on our photo page: photos.yahoo.com/donjudie. They are divided into folders for Bills Place, Hattaras and Moorhead City. We really liked the Carolinas. Map of Southeast Trip

In January 2002 we flew to San Diego for a Mexican cruise with many members of Judie's family. Hank and Joanie were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary so lots of the family showed up. We flew into San Diego a few days early to see our son, Rex, and his significant other, Zelia. We also got around to some of the tourist sights like the zoo and Old Town. It is certainly a beautiful city. The cruise was a lot of fun. We stopped at most of the major cities along the West Coast of Mexico: Cabo San Lucas; Matzatlan; etc. but also had several days at sea. This was a circle cruise that returned to San Diego so we got another chance to see Rex and Skip and Sally (from Skip's Retirement fame). Photos from the trip are in the folder entitled Mexico Cruise on our photo page: photos.yahoo.com/donjudie. They are divided into folders for Shipboard, San Diego and Home Again.

In June 2002 we began the process of reflooring the main rooms of our house. The carpet was stained and was beginning to take on a gray tinge that wasn't supposed to be there! It turned into the Flooring Job From Hell! Now we are working on Judie's office. It's been a LONG LONG job!

In October 2002 we also got to redecorate a duplex apartment that we own. It hadn't been redecorated in a long time so needed work. It held up getting our floor done but was worth it.

Come back again. We'll be adding things from time to time and probably removing a few too! Please email us at [email protected] with any questions or comments.
