The Travel Trailer

We are so excited that we had to take some shots while it was still on the dealer's lot.

It is a used 2000 Cameo. Some people bought it in May but apparently never used it. It is 26 feet long and 8 feet wide and have a total weight of 7700 lbs. It will sleep six but we are thinking it is really well laid out for two people since only two get permanent beds. There is a 20 foot awning on the curb side to give us some outside space.

We like the kitchen (or is it called a galley?) since it is out of the traffic flow. This was taken from the doorway and you can see the dinette in the lower right part of the photo. Note that the stove still has it's decorative warning label and though you can't see it the microwave carousel is still wrapped in its cardboard packing! Don't know why I wasn't smart enough to take that trash off the table before I took the photo!

This shows you the layout from the kitchen looking aft. The 'living room' area is directly aft of the kitchen, then the head, then the bedroom. The head spans the unit with the toilet & sink on the left of this photo and the shower on the right. The color scheme, blue, was certainly a subliminal selling point for us both.

This is just a detail of the bedroom. There isn't a lot of storage but we'll just have to live. It is a walkaround bed but the description is a 'short queen', whatever that may be! One of the indicators of the amount of usage the rig has had is that the plastic is still on the mattress.

Well, that's the tour. We get to pick it up next week and are already planning a quick trip to Ft. Desoto Park to try everything out. We'd rather be near home if things aren't working so well! Plus we know that Ft. Desoto has 'pull through' camping spots so getting our rig in it's first spot shouldn't strain us too much.

Now it is time to return to our homepage.
