Somehow I've neglected to post any pictures at all from France. It is more terrible because at this time when many Americans are unhappy with France for not supporting the invasion of Iraq people need to speak out supporting France and the French. France has been our ally throughout our history. They have had terrorist attacks in their cities and know how it feels. The fact that they did not feel able to support our unilateral invasion of Iraq simply reflects their belief in the law. France is a beautiful country. In all our visits to France (my first visit was in 1970) we have never been treated badly. Yes, sometimes people can be abrupt or a little rude but for those of us who have visited New York City, well, New Yorkers can certainly give almost anyone a 'rudeness lesson'.
Here we were visiting Paris way back before turn of the century.

I love the river and the bridges in Paris.

This is a photo of a little hill town we passed on the road. I believe the name is Gordes. Seeing a town like this makes me feel I've stumbled onto a movie set!

Judie is especially interested in things Roman. So we had a good time in Southern France. This is a photo of the Amphitheatre at Arles.

We visited the South of France as well. If we won the lottery we might be able to afford moving there! It is very beautiful though. This is me on our cheap hotel balcony in Nice. Definitely could not afford the sea view places.

That's enough for this huge page. Sorry for the download time.
