DOGHOUSE - welcome and a Happy, Healthy, Propserous and Peaceful New Year 2003
|
Whilst primarily intended as a source of information for the band known as
Doghouse, located in the Isle of Man (home of the world-wide famous TT motor
cycle races and of course the Manx Grand Prix - see
LINKS
page), the Doghouse web site also contains
information about the annual Big Wheel Blues Festival and in particular the
Acoustic Stage of the
festival, as well as anything and everything connected with live music on the
island.
Everyone knows that there is a lot of pretentious twaddle dedicated to music,
musos and their efforts on the web, so one more tiny and yet still pretentious
site
will barely be noticed, no doubt.
But these pages are particularly intended for the band members themselves,
which is probably just as well since it is hard to imagine who might be
interested. Well except, just possibly,
Blues Festival
fans and Bands who want to know more about the annual
Big Wheel Blues Festival.
Apart from information about the Acoustic Stage there will also be quite a bit
of stuff about the band Doghouse, it's members, the material they play, where
they play and so on. Click a dog, on the left, to go!

The Acoustic Stage
Doghouse are heavily involved in the annual Big Wheel Blues Festival,
particularly so with the
Acoustic Stage
at The Shore Hotel, in lower Laxey.
This marvellous event is held in May every year and has grown in leaps and
bounds into one of the Isle of Man's most popular music weekends. Apart from
the many local excellent muso's there are, of course, a variety of especially
invited
Blues Artistes from around the world.

Fest 2002 had 41 muso's playing on the Acoustic Stage in various bands and in
various formats - and a divers and fabulous feast of live music it was too. From Blues and Folk, to
Jazz and Rock and all "unplugged" - well almost. More than 20 hours of uninterrupted live music. We
defied the weather to enjoy the most successful festival yet. To see and read
