Bands can operate in a hothouse atmosphere of practice, frustration and "artistic differences". Not to mention fragile egos and, if and when things don't work out, bruised pride. There are many opportunities for someone or everyone to throw their instruments into cases pack up their gear and walk away. Sometimes you get over it and sometimes you don't.
But whatever, it means you're looking for a singer or a drummer or someone or another. And the practice/ rehearsal/ material choice routine starts all over again with all its opportunities for implosion and explosion. It certainly is not easy for anyone involved and yet sometimes, often (well maybe not often), it's a real blast. If you get to the gig stage then the satisfaction and sheer excitement of making the music can make it all worthwhile. I suppose that's why we do it. It certainly isn't the money, 'cause for those of us plugging away at the odd pub gig, there ain't none.
So, we've all played in various bands over the years, some more than others, and some to a much higher standard of musical and artistic quality but for the time being the following guys are Doghouse: (by first name alphabetical order - click a dog below for more info)
