Andy is that rarest of rare musicians; a dedicated, specialist bass player.

That's what he does - he plays bass. Not a frustrated guitar player, or a keyboard man. Just Bass (of course he can play these things too - and sing - but he'll never let on). This is probably why he is so good at it. Years of dedicated practice and gigging added to a benign genetic musical inheritance makes for great bass-man chemistry. You just cannot beat musical talent...and practice. Enough said.

Andy is also a man who knows his way around a circuit diagram so a very good bloke to have on hand when your amp needs a bit of a technical seeing-to or some other gear needs the attention of a soldering iron.

He's a perfectionist and that is a rare and valuable commodity. In a band its like heavy water man, everyone wants it.
