ACOUSTIC STAGE ARTISTES

Welcome
to the
BIG WHEEL BLUES FESTIVAL
- ACOUSTIC STAGE -
LAXEY,
ISLE OF MAN

Sponsored by
Merrill Lynch Sponsors of the Acoustic Stage
in tune with the Big Wheel Blues Festival Acoustic Stage...

2002 is all over - now for 2003

2 sound engineers, 1 lighting man and many, many Festival-goers beat the weather into submission by staging and enjoying what was undoubtedly the best Bushy's Blues Festival to date.

The Annual Bushy's Blues Festival is a fund raising event for the British Red Cross and all the local musicians (18 Bands, 46 musicians) who gave their time and skill to this year's Acoustic Stage event did so for free - and we are very grateful to them all. There are so many, many people involved in setting up the Festival and the organisation goes on for months beforehand. But without the help of Merrill Lynch (and in particular; Helen Makin, Al Lawrence, and Dougie Elliot), Paul and Jill of The Shore Hotel, Candy of A3 Marquees, Gill and Jim Caine of Horizon, the BBQ team (too many to mention!), Phil Maddrell and Dave (PA), Henry Qualtrough (lighting), Andy Radcliffe (photography).....we would have had an overwhelmingly difficult job. To you all; many, many thanks. If we have overlooked someone who is very important to us - many sincere apologies.

2003. We are already thinking about next year and making tentative plans for the 03 Fest. If you want to be involved either in planning (the Festival Committee is always looking for volunteers), playing on stage, festival organising, trade-stand opportunities, advertising or in any way at all dont hesitate - get in touch. You can do so by talking to Chris or Dave - you can contact us through email at this website by clicking here. You can also leave a message on one of the message boards.

So, from the website you can email us, leave a message, check progress on next years Fest., receive the Programme as it develops and keep up with the latest news. There is now a page dedicated to photos of this year's event and it will be worth a visit just to check them out. Click here to go straight to the Photo Gallery 2002 now.
