TIMELINE
A real timeline will be up shortly. Until then here's a summary of events in the Duel of Fates RPG.
Chiikyuu-sei (DBZ Earth) is attacked and destroyed by the Kold Empire. It was the Rebellion's 1st base. Nobody knows how many members escaped.
One of the few Elite Squads left in the Rebellion arrange to meet up on the seedy planet Andulin (Zarbon, Caithion Triste, Sakumei Ookami, Jeice & Burter). Zarbon plans to discuss a possible new unity with a powerful Order in the far away Eastern Quadrant. (DBZ galaxy lies in the North Quadrant)
The Elite squad is captured by Shura & Lady Vanity, two of the Seven Black Sages serving King Kold. The 7 Sages are the few beings in the Galaxy able to wield magic (Caithion is another and so is Zangya).
The Elites are taken prisoner aboard Lord Cooler's ship. Cooler, however, despises his father and rebels against him by freeing the members of the Rebellion. Ginyu, Recoome & Guldo are also onboard Cooler's ship and gladly join.
King Kold sabotaged Cooler's ship and the rebels have to make an emergency landing on planet Bohem. Luckily they were aiming for the planet in the first place as Zarbon -the leader of the group- was planning a rendezvous with the Jedi, the Rebellion's secret new alliance.
Unfortunately 3 Sages were on Cooler's ship when it crashed ~ The Blood Priest Shura, The Shape-shifter Ginboku Reffinest and the Necromancer Ebony. Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi & Deceptedo Billaba and the Queen of Bohem, Frostma, welcome the newcomers. Sappha enters here and we learn that Guldo once lived on Bohem with her. We also learn that the Black Sage Ebony is not unkown to the Queen and Sappa.
'WHERE'S THE RUM GONE!' Jeice and Sakumei are devastated at the banning of alcohol on Bohem. We learn of Freeza's obsession with the power residing within the Dragonballs and his hatred of the magic-wielding Sages and his father King Kold. King Kold wants his son dead and contacts the Sages hiding on Bohem to kill him. Shura attacks the Bohemien palace and gets into a brawl with Caithion. Shura escapes.
Reffinest attempts to break into the palace but is captured by Zarbon and Obi-Wan. They discover that the Jedi's mental Force abilities weaken the shape-shifter.
Prince Torankusu (Trunks), along with Son Pan, arrives on scene and demands to meet with Caithion. Sappha is kidnapped by Shura.
The Rebels depart for Neo Vegeta-sei however Son Pan and Guldo have other ideas. Stealing a ship from the Bohemian Palace Guldo follows the Sages who captured Sappha. Pan sneaks aboard his ship, intent on proving that she is old enough to join the Rebellion.
The Rebels arrive on Vegeta-sei and meet with King Vegeta who agrees to lend his armies in order to stop the Kold Empire. Here we meet the Saiyan General, Caithion's brother Toko. Son Pan and Guldo follow the Sage's ship to the tropical planet Gaia, the capital world in the Gaia System ruled by Vanity, the Witch Sage.
Learning of the Rogue Rebel Force and the captured Sage on Bohem, Freeza begins to plot the downfall of his treacherous brother and his arrogant father. But not before seeing that Bohem gets its just rewards.
After realising the absence of both Son Pan and Guldo the Rebels leave Vegeta-sei and begin to track them to Gaia. Only a short while into the trip however, Queen Frostma receives word that Planet Bohem has been destroyed by the Kold Empire. Karete, a female scientist on Vegeta-sei enters here.
Ma Piccolo, the infamous Namekian General and Sakumei Ookami's old mentor, who was thought to have perished on Chiikyuu begins tracking the Rebel Force to Gaia. Meanwhile, after a rough crash-landing on Gaia, the Rebels find themselves on the other side of the planet from Vanity's foretress. Taking speeders in order to travel undetected, the Rebels split up and begin the "Gaia Saga"
The Gaia Saga
"There had never been a more unusual band of Rebels before: Saiyans, Jedi, Changlings, Pirates and Royalty travelling together through the Witch Sage Vanity's Kingdom, to rescue the future heiress of Vegeta-sei, Son Pan, and take revenge on those responsible for the destruction of Chiikyuu and Bohem.
Now more than ever it seems the galaxy will be plunged into a second Galactic Sweep.
The group are almost immediately attacked by Gaias tribal Noghri. Jeice, Trunks, Caithion and Deceptedo are split from Zarbon, Obi-Wan, Cooler and the shape-shifting Sage, Reffinest.
Freeza's personal Ice-jinn assisstant/slave, Tundranis, is introduced.
The Master tech Saiyan Karete, daughter of Bardock, sister to Goku and Radditz, strikes a deal with Freeza on his ship. Freeza agrees not to touch Gaia, where his brother, father and the Rebels currently reside, if she returns his 'renegade warriors' i.e. the Ginyu Force and Zarbon.
Entrance of Vanity's mysterious Right Hand. Pan and Guldo are captured and taken to the Witch Sage's Foretress in the heart of Gaia.
The Shape-shifting Sage, Ginbouku Reffinest, escapes during the Noghri onslaught and heads to Vanity's Foretress. The two split groups recover and continue. Ookami is left to navigate her group using her connection to Son Pan. Obi-Wan ponders why the Noghri have quit their attack. The Rebels continue into Gaia's Wild Wood...
Ebony, (the 'Necromancer' - on of the Seven Sages), thinks of her love for the Blood Priest, Shura.
Zarbon struggles with the leg injury he recieved from the crash-landing on Gaia.
Des and his charge Holly make their first appearance.
Vanity watches the two Rebel groups move through Gaia with the help of her mirror and plans their downfall. Ookami and Cooler become nervous travelling through the Wild Wood, however Obi-Wan insists there is nothing at work.
Tundranis finds himself serving Freeza's tech-minded guest Son Karete
Enter vagabond Ted Longshott.
While musing on Zarbon and the rest of the Rebels in Vanity's Foretress, Raffy recieves a message from her sister, summoning her back to her homeworld.
Ted Longshott meets Des on Gaia just as Holly is kidnapped by one of Kold's Sages, Yuyusuka. It seems King Kold has summoned his Sages to Gaia - this act angers Vanity greatly. In her jealousy of Ebony, who has replaced her as Kold's pet, she decides to betray the Ice-jinn King and ally herself with Freeza.
During a good-humoured duel between Obi-Wan and Ookami, Vanity's mysterious Wild Wood attacks, leaving Cooler and an injured Zarbon to rescue them. Meanwhile Vanity interrogates Son Pan, hints that she was the one who killed Videl on Osirus.
Cooler, Ookami and Obi-Wan do battle with the Wild Wood's vines - the commotion attracts Des and Ted Longshott who quickly come to their aid. Zarbon and Obi-Wan decide not to tell the pair their real identity.
The second group of Rebels, Caithion, Trunks, Jeice and Deceptedo, find themselves at the mercy of Gaia's Wild Woods when an exotic flower sends them into a deep sleep where their deepest, darkest fears become very real nightmares.
Tundranis forms a friendship with Ebony. The Ice-jinn slave begins to transform.
Enter Razzia, the Fire Walker Sage. She quickly forms a bond with Ebony who has returned to Gaia.
With the aid of Deceptedo's Force abilities, the second group of Rebels escape the toxin-induced sleep and rejoin the others.
Enter Piccolo!! - a big shock to the group seeing as the Namek General was thought to be on Chikyuu when it came under attack by Freeza's forces.
Caithion uses his Shadow-ri skills to form a boat large enough to cross Gaia's Red Sea. Ookami comforts Jeice who had to re-live his mother's murder in the Wild Wood. Trunks tells Deceptedo that he's known for a while that the Jedi Knight is in love with Son Pan and that it's responsible for their rivalry.
Ookami fears her darker side. She talks with her old mentor, Piccolo.
Once again the Witch Sage makes trouble for the rebels and the little boat is thrown into the middle of a terrible storm. Ted transforms into a Water-demon and saves the day.
Vanity is livid at this final defeat. King Kold teasingly offers her the help of his other Sages but Vanity utterly refuses and sets about creating a great briar wall.
The Rebels throw caution to the wind and reveal their position by taking into the air (all except for Obi-Wan, Deceptedo and Des of course who make their way through the forests). However, Vanity's Right Hand, the tatooed Queequay, attacks and severely injures Des and Deceptedo before rising to confront the high-flying Rebels.
King Kold orders the other Sages off-planet.
Vanity's Right Hand is revealed as Son Goten.
