Strike A Pose! :: The Ginyu Force Shrine

Duel of Fates :: an Epic Crossover

:: DUEL OF FATES RPG ::

PLANETS -- Your Guide to the Galaxy!

This is a list of the planets and systems which have appeared in Dragonball Z and the RPG.

Andulin -- The ungoverned moon of Andulin, one of five circling the gas planet of Andur, is mainly inhabitated by the usual scum and villainy the Northern Galaxy sees all too much of. The moon, and the Crime Lords who rule it, survived the Freeza Wars by supplying arms and information to the growing Empire. Andulin is widely regarded as the centre for all major smuggling operations and dodgy dealings in the Northern Galaxy.

Bohem -- Ruled by the empathic Queen Frostma, Bohem was a paceful and prosperous planet on the edge of the Northern Quadrant. Being so close to the Eastern Quadrant. it was in prime position for the Jedi and the Rebellion to rendevous. However, the Bohemian people paid the highest price for their disloyalty to the Icejinn Empire. Only a handful of Bohemians survived the Icejinn onslaught. Queen Frostma was among the grieving survivors.

Chikyuu aka Earth -- Editor's note from the Dragonball Z RPG book
"Toriyama's world is no typical science fiction planet; it's a fantasy world, where many incongruent elements exist simply because they are fun, not because they are based on hard planetology or economics."

Chikyuu is the world the majority of Dragonball Z takes place on and where the plucky Son Goku was raised. It is not to be confused with our Earth (which is why I use the Japanese 'Chikyuu'). Chikyuu is composed of a single continent. A sub-continent lies to the North and South and are both roughly about the size of Australia. The Northern continent is Yunzabit where the son of the Elder Namek Katats, and head of the Dragon Family, Piccolo (aka Kami-sama, the Guardian of Chikyuu) landed.

Once Chikyuu joined the Rebellion against the Ice-jinn Empire, Capsule Corporation was instrumental in the creation of the Spaceport Refugee Ring (SRR) and solely responsible for making the enormous leaps in space-travel with their invention of the hyperdrive.

Deimos System - A system that not many are aware of, due to its aura of being in another dimension. The planets around it are similar to that of a long since forgotten Galaxy, which once contained a planet called Earth. This galaxy exists as a mirror of that forgotten realm, but the planets are far from mirrored....

Terra Deama is the main life bearing planet of this system. Its climate is harsh, and constant weather changes make it so that the planet appears divided into four quarters - each with a different climate! Again, not much is known about this planet, or the council of thirteen deamons that rule it.

Frieza Base No.79 -- A major base and training facilities for the Empire's army. It was rumoured the Ginyu Force, a group of pirates hired by Frieza to become his elite Soldiers, were based here.

Gaian System -- The System ruled over by the Witch Sage, Vanity. Encompasses many worlds, including Osiris and Gaia. There are many urban legends and horror stories surrounding Vanity's homeworld of Gaia. With so many convinced that spirits haunt the thick jungles and long abandoned temples and shrines, few rarely step foot on the 'Emerald Jewel'.

The planet is covered in rich, tropical rainforests and harbours one large city nearby Vanity's fortress. The only other settlements are neglected rural villages. The planet is dotted with abandoned ancient native temples. 75% of the planets surface is landmass and divided into three continents. The Witch Sage's fortress sits upon the smallest continent. Gaia is infamous for her varied lifeforms; some large, some poisonous, some fanged - all lethal.

Izer System & Planet Icion -- (Named in memory of the Planet Icion site & for Lady Lavender ) An extensive system capitalled by the icy planet Icion, the Icejinn homeworld and address of the royal courts. Icion is ruled by the very traditional King Kold.

Excerpt from Duel of Fates --

"Due to separate tastes, the King had demanded a grand castle be constructed for Prince Frieza in honour of his new reign over the Galaxy. King Kold himself had continued to reside in the Royal Palace as generations had before him. He was a man of great tradition and this had always blinded him to the wonders of change. King Kold valued bloodsports above anything, even the safety and well-being of his people.

The great stone hall at the very heart of the Palace was where the King spent most of his time, throwing grand parties alive with pounding folk music and entertainment from the surrounding counties. A large table, carved from the strongest red oak the country had to offer, circled a roaring bonfire set in a deep pit. A large spit turned great slabs of meat above the blazing flames, freshly caught from the hunt that would have occurred that day. Lords and ladies from around the world would travel to sit in the King's presence and drink his fine wine."

Krieos System -- The Krieos system encompasses a mere six planets orbiting one sun. King Kold's Shape-shifting Sage, Ginbokou Reffinest, hails from planet Roshou in this system. For more information see Bulma's Report, "Kreios and The Torikaemas-jin"

Krieos System of Karete

Morpheus -- The System and Planet Morpheus is under the control of Shura Dante, the Blood Priest and one of King Kold's hired Sages.

Morpheus System of Caith

Namek-sei -- Ruined by the Frieza Wars. The ancient Namekian race were all enslaved and the Dragonballs destroyed after the Namek Elder was accidentally killed, but not before Frieza could wish for the immortal soul he had long sought after.

Planet Namek of Akira Toriyama

Pyarus System - Ruled by the Fire Dancing Sage Razzia. A system with two harsh over sized Sun's, only one moon orbiting one planet, and a few barren rocks of what could be called planets. Those that inhabit life are rough desert planets with only enough water due to the fact that underground springs run through the planet's core. Quite the opposite of a molten core.

Pyarus System of Theminiarkana

Terrada -- This enormous multilevel planet is Capital in its system and situated in the Mid-Rim of the North Quadrant. A planet that never sleeps, vehicles of all shapes and sizes constantly swoop through a highly intricate network of skyscrapers and twisting tunnels. With its bright twinkling lights, sordid red-light zones and countless gambling arcades, the planet Teradda was comically referred to as The Neon Star and draws in any number of tourists; although its' lower levels secrete some of the Galaxy's more sinister beings and has proven very popular amongst mercenaries and bounty hunters.

Terrada of Starkiller

Thanatos -- The system ruled by the Facedancing Sage Yuyusuka. Virtually devoid of natural plantlife, except for Spice. This system is known for little more than its grotesque experiments, and inhabitants stripped of free-will.

Yuyusuka herself avoids spending much time on the surface, and instead lives either in orbit, or deep underground, wishing to avoid the inhabitants.

Spice, a strange product of the sandworms and sandtrout that can extend life and instill an immunity to many viruses and poisons, at a cost. If one becomes addicted, they must continue taking it for the rest of their life, or likely suffer death. Although most humanoids can benefit from Spice, the Ice-jiin and their associates distrust its effects, making it a precious, but rarely sought, comodoty.

The planet is virtually barren of life other than the sandworms, but has numerous bodies of water that cycle in opposition to the sandworms, completely sweeping over the landscape once every few years.

Thanatos of J. Joseph

Vegeta-sei -- Over one hundred years ago Planet Plant-sei was a peaceful world inhabited by two different species, the Tuffles and the Saiyans. Technologically minded, the Tuffles cultivated what was said to be a Utopian society. The savage race of Saiyans, however, lived off the land and lead a brutal existence. Finally, tired of their harsh lives the Saiyans came together to form a Rebellion against their neighbours. The War which resulted between the two feuding species, raged on for many years and although physically the Tuffles were no match against their Saiyan adversaries, their highly advanced technology gave them the edge in battle.

Nevertheless, their luck would run out. An event which happened only once every eight years would suddenly occur, rendering the Tuffles technology useless. When the moon above Plant-sei became full the Saiyans transformed into the indomitable race of Oozaru. The Tuffles were wiped out and the Saiyans renamed the planet after their King, Vegeta.

'Inheriting' the Tuffles technology, the Saiyans were able to travel to different worlds. Ten years later they would come into contact with the Royal Ice-jinn family and strike up a deal which, unbeknownst to them, would start a catalytic turn of events in motion which the entire Universe would feel the effect of for generations to come.

The Planet-Exchange arrangement with the Royal Ice-jinn family would come to haunt the Saiyan race forever. The Ice-jinn Prince Freeza, enamoured with his own power and desperately seeking ways to strengthen himself, began to investigate the ancient mythology of their Galaxy. His discovery of the Legend of the Super Saiyan would prove lethal for the Saiya-jinn. As trust began to deteriorate, the relationship between the two races soon fell apart, especially as the Prince had began "recruiting" stronger warriors to do his dirty work. The Planet-Exchange act quite suddenly became a 'Search and Conquer' operation with Freeza's lackies taking or destroying what they found. When the Saiyans declared Rebellion, the tyrant destroyed their planet.

Frieza Base of Akira Toriyama

Neo Vegeta-sei -- After Lord Freeza commenced the first 'Great Sweep' which was the First Galactic War, what Saiya-jins survived scouted uncharted space for a barren world far beyond the Frozen Shadow's reach. Therefore it should come as no suprise that the world of Neo Vegeta-sei was one far removed from Galactic traffic. For years the planet had no business contacts or trade franchise to speak of and had to rely on its' own resources before their alliance with the Rebellion.

The surface of the planet is covered in sprawling deserts and plateaus with the occasional Oasis providing scattered bursts of colour. The Capital city of Vegeta-sei is located on one such Oasis.

Yardrat -- The people of Yardrat were loyal to the Rebellion, but tragically fell to the Empire after Frieza decided to make an example of them.
