Almost every item available in PlanetSide must be bought using the certification points you gain as you progress up in Battle Ranks, this section details what you can spend them on, and how much it will cost you.
You start the game with 7 certification points to use and earn a further one certification per battle rank (Apart from BR6, BR12, BR18, BR24 and BR25), you can get a total of 26 certification points. To use a certification point you must go to a Certification Terminal, found in the HART buildings at Sanctuary and in every Bio Laboratory on each continent.
You can learn any certification you wish as long as you first learn any pre-requisite certification for that item. To unlearn a certification you go to a certification terminal in the same way you would to learn one, however normally there is a 6 hour wait period between each certification you wish to unlearn. New recruits are given a 7 day grace peroid without this restriction so they may experiment more freely as to what certification they like the best. Points available from unlearning any certification may be spent immediately, you can also unlearn a pre-requisite certification, this will free all dependent certifications at the same time.
